Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopens Nov. 2 after a refresh. Breakfast and lunch reservations opened Oct. 8, joining dinner, which opened in September.
Grand Floridian Cafe is almost back. The restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is set to reopen on Nov. 2, and you can now book every meal.
Breakfast and lunch reservations opened on Oct. 8, WDW News Today reported. Dinner reservations went live back in early September.
The cafe has been closed since July for what Disney called a “refresh.”
When does Grand Floridian Cafe reopen?
The reopening date is Monday, Nov. 2. That date comes from Disney’s reservation system. Disney hasn’t put out a separate announcement confirming it, BlogMickey noted.
Here are the hours listed for the reopened cafe:
Breakfast: 7:30 to 11 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dinner: 5 to 9 p.m.
That’s a full day of service, from early breakfast to a late dinner. You can book through the My Disney Experience app or Disney World’s website.
Why did Grand Floridian Cafe close?
Disney closed the cafe for a refresh this summer. The last dinner service was July 19, and the restaurant closed July 20.
Disney’s notice said the work would run from mid-July through October, and the November reopening lines up with that. All told, the cafe will have been closed for 15 weeks.
While the cafe was closed, its daytime service moved to Citricos, the resort’s signature restaurant, which has been serving brunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What’s new at Grand Floridian Cafe?
That’s the big question, and Disney hasn’t answered it yet.
There’s no official word on a new look or new menu items. Fan sites have guessed at changes, but nothing has been confirmed.
The posted hours show it will still serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whether old favorites survive the refresh is something we’ll know Nov. 2.
What is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort?
The Grand Floridian is Disney World’s flagship hotel. It opened in 1988 and was built to look like the grand Victorian beach hotels of old Florida, with white walls, red roofs and a five-story lobby.
It sits on the Seven Seas Lagoon, right across the water from Magic Kingdom. It’s also home to Victoria & Albert’s, Disney World’s priciest restaurant.
What else is changing at the Grand Floridian?
The cafe is part of a bigger round of updates at Disney World’s flagship resort.
The Perch, a new lobby bar, opened on Nov. 10, 2025.
Garden View Lounge, the resort’s afternoon tea spot, reopened after its own reimagining on March 19, 2026.
Disney says renovation work continues in some areas, including the covered entrance, into early 2027.
If you’re staying at the Grand Floridian in the coming months, expect some construction walls along with the new spots.
Is Grand Floridian Cafe hard to book?
It can be, especially for breakfast. The cafe is a short walk or monorail ride from Magic Kingdom, so it’s a popular stop before or after a park day.
You don’t have to stay at the Grand Floridian to eat there. The resort is a stop on the Resort Monorail, which loops past Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary and the Polynesian, and there’s a walking path from Magic Kingdom’s entrance.
Since breakfast and lunch only opened Oct. 8, there’s a good chance you’ll still find openings for early November. Holiday weeks fill up faster, so book soon if you’re visiting around Thanksgiving or Christmas.
