Kidrobot’s new McDonald’s Grimace in Car Interactive Large Plush is up for pre-order at $57.99, with only 1,500 made and an estimated ship window of the third quarter of 2027.
Grimace is getting a set of wheels. Kidrobot has opened pre-orders for a limited-edition McDonald’s Grimace in Car Interactive Large Plush, according to the toy maker’s website.
The purple fan favorite sits behind the wheel of a matching convertible. He’s wearing sunglasses and holding a Grimace Shake, because of course he is.
That shake is a nod to McDonald’s 2023 Grimace birthday promotion. The purple, berry-flavored Grimace Shake sold in the U.S. from June 12 to July 9, 2023, and it set off a viral TikTok trend that pushed the #GrimaceShake hashtag past one billion views.
Only 1,500 will be made. The new plush started drawing attention on X on Oct. 28.
What is the Grimace in Car plush?
It’s a limited-edition plush from Kidrobot, the art toy company that makes official McDonald’s collectibles.
Kidrobot’s product page calls it the McDonald’s Grimace in Car Interactive Large Plush. The description opens with “Beep beep! Grimace is ready to roll into your McDonald’s collection!”
The set comes in two parts. Grimace himself pops out of the car, so you can display him on his own or behind the wheel.
How big is the Grimace in Car plush?
Grimace stands 9.5 inches tall, according to Kidrobot. The car measures 15 inches long.
The car has a clear windshield and metallic fabric. It also carries custom Grimace and McDonald’s license plates.
Kidrobot’s title calls the plush “interactive.” The product page does not explain what that means, though, and it does not mention sounds or moving parts. We would not assume it honks.
How much does the Grimace in Car plush cost?
The pre-order price is $57.99 on Kidrobot’s website.
Kidrobot limits orders to five per household. The page says it ships worldwide, with available countries listed at checkout.
International buyers should read the fine print. Kidrobot says all international sales are final, and duties or import taxes are not charged at purchase.
When does the Grimace in Car plush ship?
Kidrobot lists an estimated ship window of the third quarter of 2027.
So if you were hoping to wrap one up this Christmas, Grimace will be fashionably late. Very late.
Kidrobot also says shipping dates are estimates and can change. Orders will not ship until every pre-order item in the order has arrived, so pairing it with a sooner item will hold that item back too.
Where can you buy the Grimace in Car plush?
Kidrobot’s website is the only seller we found. It sits in the McDonald’s x Kidrobot collection with a “NEW” tag.
We did not find it at McDonald’s restaurants, in a Happy Meal or at another retailer. McDonald’s has not announced the plush on its own channels that we could find.
With only 1,500 made, it may not last long.
What other McDonald’s collectibles does Kidrobot sell?
Grimace has company. Kidrobot’s McDonald’s collection currently includes:
Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie the Early Bird Phunny Plush: $17.99 each, 7.5 inches tall, debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2026
Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie 3-Pack Phunny Plush Bundle: $51.99
McDonald’s Collectible Plush Charms: $12.99 per blind box, with an estimated ship window of the first quarter of 2027
McDonald’s Big Mac 8-inch Vinyl Dunny Art Figure: listed as a pre-order
The blind box charms include Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie, Mayor McCheese, a light blue Fry Girl and a rare mystery chase figure.
Did Kidrobot make other limited-edition Grimace plush?
Yes. Kidrobot’s 2026 convention exclusive, the Grimace in Disguise Large Plush, sold for $42.99 and was limited to 500 pieces worldwide.
That one dressed Grimace as Hamburglar, with a striped shirt, cape, mask and hamburger-print tie. The San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog listed it as a Comic-Con exclusive.
It now shows as sold out on Kidrobot’s site.
The new car version has three times as many pieces. Grimace collectors will still want to move fast, since the last limited run did not stick around.
