A recent video shows guests caught in a rainstorm while waiting in the queue for Spaceship Earth at EPCOT. Florida is known for short summer storm bursts, and this video showcases how guests are impacted at attractions with outdoor queues.
A new video on WeatherNation is circulating online showing guests stuck in a typical Florida midday monsoon at Spaceship Earth in EPCOT.
Spaceship Earth has an outdoor queue, and while a lot of it is shaded by the giant “golf ball”, that does not stop strong winds from blowing rain all over the waiting guests.

I have actually been caught in this same situation, but luckily I was at the front of the line, where I was mostly protected.
Summers in Florida often have short storms daily. They can often be intense, with strong winds.
Luckily, these storms usually blow through quickly.
Keep an eye on weather radar and the sky when you visit Orlando theme parks. I
If you see signs of a storm, get inside an attraction, store, restaurant, etc. It will likely blow over quickly, and usually the crowds thin out after it’s over.
Some of my family’s favorite Walt Disney World memories happened during or after one of these short storms.
