Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, starring Lacey Chabert, is the first Hallmark movie filmed at Walt Disney World, and it anchors this year’s Countdown to Christmas.
Hallmark Christmas movies and Disney World finally got together, and the date is set.
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True premieres Saturday, Nov. 28, at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. It streams on Hallmark+ the next day, according to Hallmark. It’s the first original movie Hallmark and Walt Disney World have ever made together.
Mickey Visit flagged it again Thursday as part of Hallmark’s full Countdown to Christmas lineup. TVLine and Primetimer count 34 new original movies this year, starting Oct. 16.
Here’s the trailer from Hallmark Channel:
What is Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True about?
Lacey Chabert plays Lindsey, who heads to Walt Disney World with her extended family for Christmas. Her room ends up next to Philip, played by Travis Van Winkle. He’s a disastrous recent first date, and he’s also on a family trip.
They keep running into each other around the parks. Per the Disney Parks Blog, “the holiday wish Lindsey made in Cinderella fountain just might turn their rivalry into romance.”
Yes, it’s a Hallmark movie. You know roughly how this ends. That’s the appeal.
Who is in the cast of the Hallmark Disney World movie?
Ryan Landels wrote and directed it. The cast includes:
Lacey Chabert as Lindsey
Travis Van Winkle as Philip
Richard Kind
Christy Carlson Romano
Bryce Durfee
Taegen Burns
Asher Alexander
Patrick Renna, in a cameo
Christy Carlson Romano is a fun one for Disney Channel fans. She starred in Kim Possible and Even Stevens.
Chabert is one of Hallmark’s most familiar faces, so putting her in front of Cinderella Castle feels like a sure bet.
Where was the Hallmark movie filmed at Disney World?
Filming started in early December 2025 and wrapped in late February 2026, Disney Tourist Blog reported, citing Hallmark Channel.
Fans spotted the crew at Magic Kingdom, around Cinderella Castle, the Cinderella Fountain and Main Street, U.S.A. Disney Tourist Blog and Mickey Visit also reported shoots at Hollywood Studios, including Toy Story Land and Echo Lake, and at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The trailer shows Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT and Animal Kingdom Lodge too.
Hallmark’s chief brand officer, Darren Abbott, said in Disney’s announcement, “We’re thrilled to expand our relationship beyond the products we create together and onto the screen.”
The two companies go way back. Hallmark founder J.C. Hall was friends with Walt Disney, and Hallmark made the first Mickey Mouse greeting card.
When was the Hallmark Disney World movie announced?
Walt Disney World first teased the team-up in early December 2025, and Variety had the details on the cast. Cameras rolled that same month.
The first trailer arrived in early July 2026, WDW News Today reported. The Nov. 28 premiere date followed in early August. Hallmark announced the Disney Springs pop-up shop at D23 in mid-August.
That’s almost a full year of buildup for a two-hour movie. In Hallmark years, that’s an eternity.
If you miss the Saturday premiere, Hallmark+ subscribers can catch it Sunday, Nov. 29. Hallmark Channel also tends to rerun its big premieres a lot during the season, so it should pop up again before Christmas.
Is there a Hallmark store at Disney Springs?
There is. A limited-time Hallmark holiday pop-up opened Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Town Center area of Disney Springs.
It sells merchandise inspired by the movie, along with Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments and Disney gifts. Laughing Place listed a few prices:
Holiday Ever After Spirit Jersey: $89
Loungefly ear band: $34.99
Mickey and Minnie gingerbread nutcrackers: $68.99 each
Hallmark Movie Bingo Pad: $16.99
Mickey Visit says the shop runs through Jan. 3, 2027. Hallmark has only said “this holiday season,” so don’t wait until New Year’s weekend.
What else is on Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2026?
A lot. A few dates worth circling:
Who’s Coming for Christmas?: Friday, Oct. 30
Return to Santa: Friday, Nov. 27, 8 p.m.
The Most Wonderful Secret: Saturday, Nov. 28, 6 p.m., right before the Disney movie
A Grand Biltmore Christmas: Saturday, Dec. 5, 8 p.m.
Thanksgiving weekend is stacked. Save room for leftovers and a blanket.
