The Hollywood Studios character buffet rotates seasonal overlays through fall and winter. Booking windows open 60 days ahead, which puts Halloween reservations live right now.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has released seasonal dates for one of the harder dining reservations to land.
Hollywood & Vine announced its Halloween and Christmas overlay dates for 2026, along with the rest of its seasonal calendar.
The restaurant swaps themes several times a year, and each swap changes which characters appear and what the buffet serves.
How Hollywood and Vine’s seasonal overlays work
Through most of the year it operates as Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, with Minnie Mouse, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy appearing in outfits matching the current season.
The overlays change the costumes, the decor, and portions of the buffet menu. Character appearances are subject to change and Disney does not guarantee any specific character.
Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine runs at breakfast separately, which is the version aimed at younger children.
When to book Hollywood and Vine reservations
Walt Disney World opens dining reservations 60 days in advance. Counting from today, that puts late October dates inside the booking window right now.
Seasonal overlays at Hollywood & Vine book out faster than the restaurant’s standard run, particularly on party nights and holiday weeks. The Christmas overlay in late December is historically the hardest window of the year.
Reservations can be made through the My Disney Experience app or by calling Disney directly.
What Hollywood and Vine costs
Pricing runs as a fixed-price buffet, with rates varying by season and meal period.
Disney adjusts character dining pricing periodically and often raises it ahead of peak seasons, so confirm the current rate when booking rather than relying on a figure from earlier in the year.
The Disney Dining Plan covers Hollywood & Vine as a table-service credit for guests who have it.
What else is new at Hollywood Studios
The park has a busy fall and a busier 2027.
Fantasmic! moved to 8:30 p.m. on August 23, with second performances at 10 p.m. shifting to 9:30 p.m. on September 18. The amphitheater opens as early as 90 minutes before showtime.
Monstropolis, the Monsters, Inc. land, opens in phases starting in 2027. Harryhausen’s will become a real restaurant with a sushi chef animatronic, replacing Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.
The suspended door-vault coaster, the land’s headline attraction, is not part of the opening phase.
Where to eat at Hollywood Studios besides Hollywood and Vine
For anyone who cannot land the reservation.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and 50’s Prime Time Café are the park’s other themed table-service options and book similarly fast. Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge requires its own reservation.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land is the newest table-service addition and tends to have more availability than the classics.
Anyone holding a Fantasmic! Dining Package should check which performance is printed on the voucher, since Disney assigns package guests to a specific show and a later performance existing does not mean you can switch into it.
Seasonal dates get adjusted, so confirm in the app on the day you book.
