Snickerdoodle Twinkies are the only new flavor in Hostess' holiday lineup this year. That's one more than last year, when every holiday snack was a repeat.
Twinkies are getting the cinnamon-sugar treatment. Hostess' 2026 holiday lineup includes Snickerdoodle Flavored Twinkies, a limited-time take on the cinnamon-sugar cookie that lands on so many holiday dessert trays.
The new flavor keeps the golden sponge cake and fills it with a creme that has snickerdoodle cookie spice mixed in, Commercial Baking reported. Hostess announced the lineup Tuesday, Nov. 3, and says it's on shelves now.
It's the only brand-new holiday flavor this year. That still beats 2025. Last year's holiday lineup was all returning favorites, Parade reported.
"One of the best parts of the holidays is enjoying fresh baked goods," said Melissa Chow, director of marketing at The J.M. Smucker Co., which owns Hostess. Fresh is a bold word for a Twinkie, but we'll allow it.
What's in the 2026 Hostess holiday lineup?
Four seasonal snacks, one of them new:
Snickerdoodle Flavored Twinkies (new): sponge cake with a snickerdoodle-spiced creme filling
Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Flavored Donettes: cocoa mini doughnuts with a sweet glaze meant to taste like a mug of hot chocolate
Holiday Cupcakes: the classic chocolate cake and icing, plus festive sprinkles
Holiday Sno Balls: chocolate cake covered in marshmallow and coconut, styled to look snowy
They come in single-serve packs and multipacks with holiday packaging, Commercial Baking reported. Chow said the lineup offers "a bit of holiday nostalgia."
Sporked called the new Twinkie a solid addition to this year's holiday snacks. Snickerdoodles are basically sugar cookies that rolled around in cinnamon, so a cream-filled sponge cake seems like a natural fit.
Where can I buy Snickerdoodle Twinkies?
Hostess says the holiday snacks are available for a limited time at retailers nationwide and online. Stock varies by store, so Hostess points shoppers to the store locator at hostesscakes.com/where-to-buy.
Hostess didn't share prices or an end date. Holiday snacks tend to disappear once the season wraps, and Parade noted some sold out fast in past years. If you see them, maybe grab them.
What are Hostess Stuffed Coffee Cakes?
There's one more new item, and it's a Walmart exclusive. Stuffed Coffee Cakes take Hostess' cinnamon streusel Coffee Cakes and pipe vanilla creme inside.
Hostess announced it alongside the holiday snacks, but Parade describes it as a twist on the regular Coffee Cakes, not a seasonal flavor. So it may stick around after the holiday boxes are gone.
What other limited Twinkies flavors has Hostess made?
Hostess loves a seasonal Twinkie. A few recent ones:
Mint Chocolate Twinkies: a chocolate sponge cake with cool mint, part of the 2022 holiday lineup, Commercial Baking reported
Cappuccino Twinkies: a convenience store exclusive at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes, spotted in January 2026, Parade reported
Pumpkin Spice Twinkies: a fall flavor Hostess has brought back before, including in 2022, Sporked reported
So Hostess has done mint, coffee and pumpkin. Cinnamon sugar was overdue. Sporked's headline called the new flavor "very on-trend," and it's hard to argue with a snack cake named after the best cookie in Grandma's tin.
Who owns Hostess and Twinkies now?
The J.M. Smucker Co., the Ohio company known for jams and jellies, bought Hostess Brands in 2023 in a deal worth $5.6 billion, NPR reported. That's why this year's announcement came out of Orrville, Ohio, Smucker's hometown.
Hostess introduced the Twinkie in 1930, so the snack is about four years from its 100th birthday. Expect a much bigger party than a snickerdoodle.
Until then, the holiday boxes are the main event. Hostess hasn't said whether Snickerdoodle Twinkies will come back next year, so treat this as a one-season deal until we hear otherwise.
