Lightning Lane Single Pass hits record prices on Nov. 1, up to $25 for Cosmic Rewind and TRON, and Premier Pass is set to go up $50. We broke down every type of pass and what a family pays.
Skipping the line at Disney World keeps getting more expensive.
Lightning Lane Single Pass prices for Nov. 1 hit record highs on four of Walt Disney World’s biggest rides, Disney Food Blog and Disney Tourist Blog both reported. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run will cost $25 each that day.
And there’s more coming. Disney said on Oct. 6 that the top price for Lightning Lane Premier Pass is going up $50 at every park, FOX 35 and Laughing Place reported. Laughing Place said the change took effect right away.
But as of Oct. 11, no date had hit those new top prices yet, Disney Tourist Blog reported. Disney hasn’t said when one will.
The same Oct. 6 announcement raised some Disney World ticket and annual pass prices, too. The peak one-day ticket for the 2027 holidays now tops out at $229, as we reported that day.
How much is Lightning Lane Single Pass at Disney World?
Here are the new record prices for Nov. 1, with the old records in parentheses:
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT: $25 ($22)
TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom: $25 ($23)
Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom: $20 ($19)
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom: $18 ($15)
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios is still $25. That’s a bargain next to Disneyland, where Rise’s Single Pass can run up to $40.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train got the biggest jump, 20%, by our math. Cosmic Rewind went up about 14%.
Single Pass prices change by ride and by date. Disney’s Lightning Lane page warns that “prices may be higher during peak periods, including holidays,” but it doesn’t list actual prices. They show up in the My Disney Experience app up to 21 days ahead, and you can buy up to two Single Passes a day.
How much is Lightning Lane Multi Pass?
Multi Pass, the one that covers a bunch of rides at one park, isn’t changing this time, Disney said on Oct. 6.
At its peak, Multi Pass runs about $45 at Magic Kingdom, $39 at Hollywood Studios, $37 at EPCOT and $35 at Animal Kingdom, according to Disney Tourist Blog. Prices drop on slower days.
How much is Lightning Lane Premier Pass?
Premier Pass is the big one. It gets you one Lightning Lane entry at every Lightning Lane ride in a single park, with no reservation times.
Disney’s published ranges are $329 to $449 at Magic Kingdom, $269 to $349 at Hollywood Studios, $169 to $249 at EPCOT and $119 to $199 at Animal Kingdom, plus tax, according to Disney Tourist Blog.
Slow days can go lower. Magic Kingdom’s Premier Pass hit a record low of $299 in August, WDWMagic reported.
Add Disney’s $50 to those top prices and you get:
Magic Kingdom: $499
Hollywood Studios: $399
EPCOT: $299
Animal Kingdom: $249
That’s simple math, $50 on top of today’s highest prices.
Premier Pass sells out, too. It was sold out at all four parks on Oct. 10 and 11, Disney Food Blog reported, over the Columbus Day weekend.
What does Lightning Lane cost a family of four?
Say a family of four wanted Single Passes for all four record-breaking rides on Nov. 1. That’s $88 a person, or $352 for the family, before tax.
But Disney limits you to two Single Passes a day, so that plan takes at least two park days.
Those same four rides added up to $73 a person before Disney’s price bump last October. That’s about 21% more in about a year.
And if Magic Kingdom’s Premier Pass does top out at $499, a family of four would pay up to $1,996 for a single day of it. Per person, that’s more than twice Disney World’s $229 peak one-day ticket.
When did Lightning Lane replace Genie+?
On July 24, 2024. That’s when Genie+ became Lightning Lane Multi Pass and individual Lightning Lanes became Single Pass, according to Disney Parks Blog.
Premier Pass came a few months later. It started on Oct. 30, 2024, as a pilot for guests at Disney World’s Deluxe resorts, WDWInfo and Disney Food Blog reported.
Magic Kingdom’s $449 top price has held since then. The $50 increase would be its first raise in about two years.
Disney made a short video on how to buy a Lightning Lane pass:
How does Disneyland’s Lightning Lane compare?
Disneyland’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass starts at $35 a day, according to Disney, and with a Park Hopper ticket, it works at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
At Disneyland, Single Pass runs $20 to $40 for Rise of the Resistance and $7 to $35 for Radiator Springs Racers, according to Disney Food Blog’s guide. Premier Pass there runs $300 to $449.
What are some fun facts about Lightning Lane prices?
TRON used to be cheaper. Its Single Pass was $20 when Single Pass launched in July 2024, WDWMagic reported. It’s $25 on Nov. 1.
Mine Train started small. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train’s Single Pass launched at $11 in July 2024 and topped out at $14 before last October’s increase, WDWMagic reported. It’s $18 on Nov. 1.
Animal Kingdom’s Premier Pass would jump the most. Going from $199 to $249 is a 25% increase, by our math. Magic Kingdom’s would be about 11%.
Or you can do it the old-fashioned way. The standby line is still free.
