Parking at a Disney World theme park costs $35 a day for a regular car. That’s before your ticket, your lunch, or the churro you swore you wouldn’t buy.
Here’s the full rundown of what parking costs at Walt Disney World right now, straight from Disney’s parking page, plus a few ways to pay less or nothing at all.
How much is parking at Disney World theme parks in 2026?
These are Disney’s current rates for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom:
Standard parking: $35 per day for cars and motorcycles
Preferred parking: $50, $55, or $60 per day, depending on the season
Oversized vehicles: $40 per day for campers, RVs, limos, and similar vehicles
One payment covers all four theme parks that day. So if you park at Magic Kingdom in the morning and drive to EPCOT after lunch, you don’t pay twice.
Disney says paying doesn’t guarantee a space if you leave a park and try to come back to the same lot later in the day.
How much has Disney World parking gone up?
A lot, and fast.
Standard parking was $25 until October 2023, when Disney bumped it to $30, according to MickeyBlog. Then on Oct. 8, 2025, it went to $35, per WDW News Today. Oversized parking went from $35 to $40 at the same time.
That’s a 40 percent jump in two years for the basic spot.
Preferred parking climbed too. Back in 2023, it ran $45 to $55. Now it’s $50 to $60.
Will Disney World parking go up again in October 2026?
Maybe. Nothing has been announced yet.
But Disney keeps milking the theme park guests for increased profits.
Disney Food Blog reported Sept. 17 that Disney has rolled out price increases in October for the past few years, and it expects another round soon. It said parking “may also increase,” but that’s a guess, not a Disney announcement.
If parking rises again this fall, it would be the third increase in three years. For now, $35 is the price.
Who gets free parking at Disney World?
More people than you’d think:
Disney resort hotel guests get standard theme park parking included. They can upgrade to preferred for the difference, which runs $15 to $25 a day.
Disney Vacation Club members staying on points don’t pay for standard overnight parking.
Annual Passholders have standard theme park parking included with their passes.
Water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have free standard parking for everyone.
Disney Springs: Self-parking in the garages is free.
If you’re staying off-site and paying $35 a day, run the numbers. A five-day trip adds up to $175 in parking alone. For some families, that closes a chunk of the gap between an off-site hotel and a Disney value resort.
How much does parking cost at Disney World hotels?
Self-parking at Disney’s own resort hotels is free for overnight guests and for day visitors who are there to eat or shop.
Valet costs $42 a night plus tax at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts.
The Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve are run by Marriott, not Disney, so they charge their own rates. Self-parking there is $40 a day, and valet runs $51 to $61.
Does Disney World charge for EV charging?
Yes. Charging at the theme parks and resorts costs 35 cents per kilowatt-hour, with a $1.50 minimum.
At Disney Springs, the faster chargers cost 40 cents per kilowatt-hour, and after a 20-minute grace period, you pay 30 cents a minute if you’re still plugged in.
Tips to save on Disney World parking
Stay on property if parking would push your off-site hotel savings close to zero
Skip preferred parking unless you really need the shorter walk, since it can cost nearly double
Use one lot a day instead of driving between parks and hoping for a space
Take the free hotel shuttle if your off-site hotel has one
