How to watch D23 from home, and what Disney won't stream
Seven panels and showcases run live on Disney+ across the weekend, including the Saturday parks presentation. Friday night’s film and TV showcase is not among them, and Disney has a reason.
The parks showcase streams. The movie showcase does not.
That’s the shape of D23 for anyone watching from a couch this weekend. Disney+ carries a run of panels and presentations from Anaheim, and the one that historically produces the biggest film announcements of the year is in-person only.
Here’s what’s actually available, and when.
Every D23 2026 panel streaming on Disney+
All times Pacific.
Friday, August 14: Beauty and the Beast: A Tale as Old as Time 35th Anniversary Celebration, live at 11 a.m.
Saturday, August 15: the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 panel, live at 3:30 p.m. The Disney Rewind Encore Concert, live at 6:30 p.m. And Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, the Disney Experiences showcase, live at 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 16: the Disney Worldbuilders panel with Leslie Iwerks, Jared Bush, Pete Docter, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kevin Feige, live at 10:15 a.m. Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration, recorded Thursday at Disney California Adventure, streaming that day. And the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, streaming at 6 p.m.
East Coast viewers, add three hours. Horizons lands at 10 p.m. Eastern.
Why the Disney Entertainment Showcase isn’t streaming
Release windows.
The Friday showcase at the Honda Center runs 7 to 9 p.m. Pacific and covers films, series, games, and stage productions. It’s where Star Wars: Starfighter footage would land, and where Marvel casting news would go.
Keeping it off-stream lets Disney decide when that footage reaches the public rather than having it circulate the moment it plays. That’s how the studio showcase has been handled at past D23 events.
Disney has not ruled out adding it. As of Friday morning it is not on the announced list.
What that means for following Friday night
Reporting, not video.
Coverage from the Entertainment Showcase will come from outlets in the room, posting as it happens. Anything that looks like a leaked clip should be treated carefully, since Disney generally releases trailers on its own schedule shortly afterward.
Which D23 panels are in-person only
Quite a few of the roughly 100 convention center sessions.
Among them: the D23 Mousequerade costume contest, the Alan Menken solo concert, the Jonas Brothers Hey Jonas! podcast taping, and the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary celebration.
One extra for Disney+ subscribers
Eligible US subscribers can claim a commemorative digital pin through Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs starting August 14, alongside a run of Disney+ Perks tied to the event.
The Princess concert also airs on Disney Channel, Freeform, and ABC on Sunday, which makes it the one piece of D23 you can watch without a subscription at all.
