One day after fans found only morning showings on EPCOT’s 2027 calendar, Disney put the 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. window back for every January date listed so far.
That was fast. On Monday, Nov. 2, EPCOT fans spotted a gap in the 2027 calendar. Impressions de France, the France pavilion film that has played since EPCOT opened in 1982, showed only a 30-minute morning window starting Jan. 1. No evening showings at all.
By Tuesday afternoon, they were back.
BlogMickey, which first spotted the cut, checked the My Disney Experience app again on Tuesday. Every date from Jan. 1 through Jan. 13, 2027, now lists two windows for the film: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. WDW News Today and WDWMagic reported the same change. That matches the schedule the film runs on now, through Dec. 31.
Here’s a full showing of the film from JohnYChen, recorded in 2025:
When can you see Impressions de France in January 2027?
On most January days, you get two shots at it. The film runs on a loop in the morning, 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and again at night, 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. It’s about 18 minutes long, so the night window fits several showings.
In between, the Palais du Cinema plays the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The sing-along has shared the theater since January 2020.
There is one odd wrinkle. BlogMickey says EPCOT opens at 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. on Jan. 7, 9 and 10. Before Tuesday’s fix, the app listed no Impressions de France showings at all on those three days. Now they get the evening window. Guests can’t get in until 10 those mornings, and BlogMickey said Disney “still doesn’t have the operating schedule exactly correct” for those dates. If you’re going then, plan on the evening.
Did Disney say why the evening showings went missing?
No. BlogMickey wrote that “Disney hasn’t said why the evening hours were missing and didn’t respond to requests for comment.” WDWNT simply reported that the website had been corrected. So we don’t know if Monday’s calendar was a glitch, a plan that got pulled, or something in between.
Fans noticed within a day, and fan sites jumped on it. Pirates & Princesses reported the cut on Monday. Nobody has shown the noise changed anything, but the timing is hard to miss.
This has happened before. In March 2023, Disney cut the film’s schedule down to 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Three days later, on March 10, the 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. window came back, according to WDWMagic.
What is Impressions de France, and why do fans care so much?
It’s a travel film with no real plot. You sit in a cool, dark theater while France rolls past on five screens that wrap about 200 degrees around you. Vineyards, castles, Paris and the Alps roll by to Debussy and Saint-Saens. Disney legend Buddy Baker arranged the score.
It opened with EPCOT on Oct. 1, 1982, and it has run there ever since. In 2020, Disney gave it a 4K remaster when the sing-along moved in next to it.
For a lot of longtime EPCOT fans, it’s a ritual. You duck into France and rest your feet for 18 minutes while somebody else does the traveling. Losing the night slot would have hurt anyone who hits World Showcase late, which is a lot of people.
Does the evening window fit with EPCOT fireworks?
Yes. BlogMickey says the app lists Luminous The Symphony of Us at 9 p.m. on every January date through Jan. 13. The last Impressions de France window closes at 8:45 p.m.
So you could catch a late showing, then walk out and grab a spot by the lagoon before Luminous starts. Move fast, though. Good views go early on busy nights.
What should you do before a January 2027 EPCOT trip?
Check the app close to your trip. This whole story started because a calendar changed and then changed back. Here’s the short version for now:
Morning: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., most days
Evening: 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., every January date listed so far
Midday: Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Jan. 7, 9 and 10: EPCOT opens at 10 a.m., so aim for the evening
The schedule only runs through Jan. 13 for now. Disney hasn’t posted dates after that.
