Phineas and Ferb fans think they’ve found a sign the revival isn’t stopping at Season 6.
On Sunday, a Disney fan account on X called The Disney Beat posted that “Listings for SAG-AFTRA have been updated to include YR.7 (Year 7).” By midday, animation news accounts like ToonHive were sharing it as Season 7 being “reportedly in the works.”
Disney hasn’t confirmed a seventh season. Nobody from the studio or the show has commented publicly.
So for now, file this one under “promising, not official.”
What is the Phineas and Ferb Season 7 rumor?
It comes down to one line in a union listing.
SAG-AFTRA, the union for actors and voice actors, keeps public listings of productions working under its contracts. Per the fan account, the Phineas and Ferb entry now includes a “Year 7.”
PNP could not independently view the listing. One caution, though: a production year doesn’t always match up neatly with a season number. Animated shows often record over long stretches, so “Year 7” could mean more episodes, but it doesn’t guarantee a new season with that name.
How many seasons of Phineas and Ferb did Disney order?
Two, when the revival was announced.
In January 2023, Disney Branded Television ordered 40 new episodes from creator Dan Povenmire, split across two seasons. Povenmire later confirmed they’d count as Seasons 5 and 6 of the series, per Wikipedia.
Season 5 premiered on Disney Channel on June 5, 2025, and hit Disney+ the next day. Its 20 episodes wrapped up on Jan. 16, 2026.
That leaves Season 6 as the last one Disney has officially ordered. A Season 7 would mean an extension beyond the original deal.
When does Phineas and Ferb Season 6 premiere?
Disney hasn’t said, at least not publicly.
The fan accounts don’t agree with each other. ToonHive said Sunday that Season 6 starts Oct. 6 on Disney Channel. The Disney Beat reported Oct. 2 back in the summer and added that the date was “subject to change.” Another account has said holiday specials come first, with the full season in 2027.
Disney did confirm in July 2025 that “the next batch of new episodes” would arrive on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026. Watch Disney Channel’s official accounts this week for a real date.
Who is in the Phineas and Ferb revival cast?
Mostly familiar voices, with one big change.
Vincent Martella is still Phineas. David Errigo Jr. took over as Ferb in Season 5, replacing Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Ashley Tisdale is back as Candace, and Povenmire still voices Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
There’s also a YouTube spinoff, “Cartoonified with Phineas and Ferb,” where the boys interview celebrities drawn in the show’s style. Guests have included Mark Rober and Xochitl Gomez.
How long has Phineas and Ferb been on TV?
Since 2007. The original series ran on Disney Channel and Disney XD until 2015, then came back with the movie “Candace Against the Universe” on Disney+ in 2020.
The revival picked up right where the show left off: same summer vacation, same big ideas, same platypus in a fedora. All five seasons are streaming on Disney+ if you need to catch up before Season 6 lands.
