A new Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington tiki mug arrives at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel, with a mobile order early release on Oct. 20.
Jack Skellington is headed to the tiki bar.
A new “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Jack Skellington tiki mug is coming to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel, WDW News Today and Laughing Place reported on Oct. 9.
It gets an early release through mobile order on Tuesday, Oct. 20. If you collect Trader Sam’s mugs, you’ll want to set an alarm.
How do you get the Jack Skellington tiki mug?
Through mobile order in the Disneyland app. Here’s how the early release works, according to WDW News Today:
Orders open at 6 a.m. Pacific time on Oct. 20.
Pickup times run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.
You pick it up at the Disneyland Hotel’s Rose Court Garden.
There’s a limit of two mugs per transaction.
The mug is available while supplies last, and discounts don’t apply. Disney hasn’t said what it costs yet.
What does the Jack Skellington tiki mug look like?
The mug is covered in sculpted characters and details from the movie. It sits on a bright red base, and the top has a rough, textured edge.
Laughing Place called it “a nice-looking mug covered with a number of Nightmare Before Christmas characters.” It’s the kind of mug that looks just as good on a shelf as it does holding a drink.
Is this the first Jack Skellington mug at Trader Sam’s?
No. Trader Sam’s had a Jack Skellington Halloween mug back in 2015, and Disney itself has called it “elusive.” Collectors still hunt for it.
That’s part of why new Trader Sam’s mugs get so much attention. A lot of them are limited, and the popular ones can sell out fast.
What is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar?
It’s a small, very themed tiki bar at the Disneyland Hotel, right next to the Downtown Disney District. It opened in 2011 and celebrated its 15th anniversary this year with new food, drinks and a special Hyena mug.
The bar is famous for its effects. Order certain drinks, and the room reacts with thunder, rain on the windows or a volcano rumbling, while the bartenders join in.
It’s tiny and popular, so lines can get long, especially at night.
What Nightmare Before Christmas fun is at Disneyland right now?
Haunted Mansion Holiday is the big one. It’s Disneyland’s Nightmare Before Christmas version of the Haunted Mansion, with Jack Skellington taking over the house for the season, and it’s back for 2026.
The new mug lands right in the middle of that season, which makes the timing pretty sweet for Nightmare fans.
Can you buy the Jack Skellington tiki mug online?
Disney hasn’t announced an online release. For now, it’s a Disneyland Hotel exclusive through Trader Sam’s.
If you won’t be at Disneyland on Oct. 20, you might find one on the resale market, but be careful. Popular Trader Sam’s mugs often show up online for a lot more than their original price.
What other tiki mugs has Trader Sam’s sold?
Plenty. Over the years, Trader Sam’s has put out collectible mugs ranging from a Yeti to a Zombie Santa to the Hatbox Ghost, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
For the bar’s 15th anniversary this year, it added a Hyena mug, too. The Jack Skellington mug joins a long shelf of mugs that collectors track down every year, and it probably won’t be the last one with a holiday theme.
