Jimmy Kimmel is packing up the show and heading east again.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will tape five episodes at the Brooklyn Academy of Music from Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 2. The guest list is stacked, starting with Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney.
Kimmel promised an “all-star, big-time lineup of guests,” per LateNighter. He also teased surprise visitors, “as if the regular ones weren’t good enough.”
Who are the guests for Jimmy Kimmel’s Brooklyn week?
ABC has announced these guests so far, per TheWrap and LateNighter:
Music: Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, De La Soul, Goose and TV on the Radio, with Springsteen and Tom Morello each pulling double duty
Actors and comedians: Mahershala Ali, Billy Crystal, Pete Davidson and Robby Hoffman
Radio: Howard Stern
Politics: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Sen. Bernie Sanders
Fellow late-night hosts: John Oliver and Seth Meyers are set to drop in
ABC hasn’t said which guest lands on which night.
Why is Howard Stern on Jimmy Kimmel Live a big deal?
Because he almost never does this.
Per LateNighter, this will be Stern’s first late-night talk show appearance in nearly seven years. The last one was also on Kimmel, back in October 2019.
So when Stern does leave his studio for a late-night couch, it keeps being Kimmel’s. That streak now runs two for two over seven years.
How many times has Jimmy Kimmel Live gone to Brooklyn?
This is the show’s eighth Brooklyn run.
Per LateNighter, Kimmel took the show to Brooklyn in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2025. Those trips produced 35 episodes. With five more this year, the Brooklyn total hits 40.
Springsteen isn’t new to this, either. He was on the 2025 Brooklyn lineup too, which makes this two falls in a row.
Last year’s Brooklyn week also brought out Tom Hanks, Ryan Reynolds and Jeremy Allen White, per Deadline. That’s a high bar to clear, and the 2026 list looks built to clear it, with a Beatle on the bill and a guest who hasn’t done late night since 2019.
Will Jimmy Fallon or Jon Stewart show up in Brooklyn?
Oliver and Meyers are the only other late-night hosts confirmed so far. TheWrap called it an open question whether any more will turn up.
Several late-night hosts gathered earlier this year for Stephen Colbert‘s Late Show farewell. And Kimmel did promise surprise guests. Make of that what you will.
When does Jimmy Kimmel Live air?
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. Eastern on ABC, which is owned by Disney. Episodes are also available to stream the next day on Hulu.
The Brooklyn shows tape in front of a live audience at BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House. They air the same nights they’re taped.
Why does Jimmy Kimmel keep going to Brooklyn?
Kimmel’s show normally tapes in Hollywood, at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre right next to Disney’s El Capitan Theatre. New York weeks let the show book guests who are based on the East Coast, and this lineup leans hard that way.
Kimmel is also a native of Brooklyn. He was born there before his family moved to Las Vegas when he was a kid.
So it’s a homecoming week with a better guest list than most homecomings get.
