BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is back with a new solo single and an ice cream cone light stick. Plus, PLAVE’s first win, a canceled CRAVITY fan meeting and Nayeon’s November comeback.
Jisoo is about to have a busy week.
The BLACKPINK member announced a new digital single called “ADDICTED” on Saturday, Oct. 24, Soompi reported. It comes out Oct. 30 in Korea.
She dropped her first teasers the same day, and a solo light stick reveal followed a few hours later. Here’s that news, plus the rest of the weekend’s K-pop headlines.
When does Jisoo’s ADDICTED come out?
On Oct. 30, Korea time, according to Soompi. As a digital single, it’s released online through streaming and download services, without a physical album.
Jisoo hasn’t shared much else yet. Her first teaser is just eight seconds long, with the single’s title glowing inside a lightning-filled heart. It had more than 450,000 views on YouTube by Saturday night.
Here it is:
What does Jisoo’s solo light stick look like?
An ice cream cone. Jisoo revealed the first look at her official solo light stick on Oct. 24, Soompi reported.
It goes on sale starting Oct. 26, Korea time. Light sticks are a big deal at K-pop concerts, where fans wave them in sync during shows.
Did PLAVE win on Music Core?
Yes, and it was a first for this song. PLAVE won first place on the Oct. 24 episode of MBC’s “Music Core” with their new title track “Star Trace,” Soompi reported.
They beat A2O LITE’s “NEON” and NCT WISH’s “I SPY” with a total of 8,299 points. PLAVE is a virtual idol group, whose members perform as animated characters.
The same episode had performances from IVE, BABYMONSTER, NMIXX, SEVENTEEN’s JxJ, MEOVV, ALLDAY PROJECT and TEEN TOP, among others.
Why was CRAVITY’s Beijing fan meeting canceled?
The agency only said “local circumstances.” STARSHIP Entertainment announced on Oct. 24 that CRAVITY’s fan meeting in Beijing, scheduled for later that day, would not go ahead, Soompi reported.
“We ask for your understanding regarding the fact that we have to deliver this sudden news,” the agency told fans. CRAVITY’s fans are called LUVITY. The event had been billed as “2026 CRAVITY FANMEETING IN BEIJING.”
When is Nayeon’s NA-sty coming out?
Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. Korea time. TWICE‘s Nayeon released her first teaser, titled “CAPTIVATED MODE: ON,” on Oct. 23, Soompi reported.
“NA-sty” is her next solo single. TWICE fans have had a wild fall, with Jihyo leaving JYP after 21 years while staying in the group, as PNP has reported.
What’s going on with Stray Kids’ Hyunjin?
He’s dealing with shoulder pain. JYP Entertainment said on Oct. 23 that Hyunjin is getting treatment for pain in his right shoulder, Soompi reported.
His doctor advised him to limit movements that strain it. So his choreography may be scaled back during Stray Kids’ “RUN IT JAPAN” tour shows this week and other upcoming schedules.
“We will continue to prioritize the artist’s health and recovery,” JYP said.
Why is ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s Geonwoo suing his agency?
He wants a court to rule on his contract. Geonwoo filed a lawsuit against WAKEONE seeking a ruling on whether his exclusive contract is valid, Soompi reported Oct. 25, Korea time.
He has been on hiatus since April after reports of rude behavior behind the scenes. ALPHA DRIVE ONE, which debuted in January from “BOYS II PLANET,” has been promoting as seven members.
WAKEONE said it’s hard to comment on details while legal proceedings are ongoing.
