Disney released its Jollywood Nights rain plan and showed off this year’s free wreath ornament, four days before the Hollywood Studios holiday party opens Saturday, Nov. 7.
Disney Jollywood Nights opens Saturday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney just answered the two questions every party guest asks. What happens if it rains? And what do I get to take home?
Walt Disney World shared both on Tuesday, Nov. 3, according to WDWNT and BlogMickey. The short version: most storms won’t stop the party, and everybody leaves with a free ornament.
What is the Jollywood Nights rain plan?
Disney’s line is simple. “Disney Jollywood Nights will continue in the event of most inclement weather,” the plan says, per WDWNT. It covers rain, thunder and lightning.
That doesn’t mean every show survives a downpour. Two outdoor shows may lose some or all of their performances in bad weather:
Glisten!, the skating show in front of the Chinese Theater
Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club, the live music at the base of Tower of Terror
To make up for it, Disney adds a midnight showing of Disney Holidays in Hollywood, the Mickey, Minnie, Kermit and Miss Piggy stage show at Theater of the Stars. It also adds extra characters inside The Magic of Disney Animation. BlogMickey says the party still ends at 12:30 a.m. on those rainy nights.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along keeps going as scheduled, since it’s indoors at the Hyperion Theater. Sunset Seasons Greetings and the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks may still run, so check the My Disney Experience app for showtimes.
Where do Jollywood Nights characters go when it rains?
Disney’s plan moves most of the outdoor meet-and-greets under a roof. According to WDWNT, the moves include:
Chip ‘n’ Dale, Baloo or King Louie, Max as Powerline, and Phineas and Ferb, to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular theater
Jose Carioca or Panchito, to ABC Commissary
Bo Peep and Sarge, near Toy Story Mania
Edna Mode and Frozone, at the Edna Mode Experience
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, to The Magic of Disney Animation
The Mandalorian and Grogu move near First Order Cargo. Several others stay right where they are, including Chewbacca near Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Stitch dressed as Santa at Celebrity Spotlight.
The plan doesn’t mention rain checks or refunds. BlogMickey notes that Disney has made those calls case by case, like when it turned tickets from a rained-out Halloween party night in October into one-day Park Hopper tickets.
Jollywood Nights has been canceled for weather before. On Dec. 16, 2023, during its first season, Disney called off the party ahead of forecasted thunderstorms and refunded tickets.
What is the free Jollywood Nights 2026 ornament?
It’s a wreath. Chip ‘n’ Dale peek over the top next to a big glittery gold bow, according to BlogMickey and WDWNT. The green wreath is trimmed with tiny ornaments, stars, a bell and red berries, around a red center with a white starburst pattern.
A marquee-style banner along the bottom carries the Disney Jollywood Nights and Disney’s Hollywood Studios logos. BlogMickey points out there’s no year on it. WDWNT says it may double as a small photo frame, like last year’s film-reel ornament, but Disney hasn’t confirmed that.
Every party ticket includes one at no extra cost. You get it on the way out. “Pick it up by the park entrance at the end of your night,” Disney says, as quoted by BlogMickey.
When is Jollywood Nights 2026?
The party runs 15 nights, from Nov. 7, 2026, to Jan. 5, 2027. It’s the first year Jollywood Nights stretches into January, per BlogMickey. The dates are:
November: 7, 14, 16, 21, 23 and 28
December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 and 23
January 2027: 3 and 5
Party hours are 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and ticket holders can enter the park starting at 5:30 p.m., according to TouringPlans.
How much are Jollywood Nights tickets?
Tickets run $169 to $199 plus tax, depending on the night, per TouringPlans and BlogMickey. Nov. 16 is the cheapest at $169. Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members and kids ages 3 to 9 get $10 off.
Two nights have already sold out: opening night, Nov. 7, and Nov. 14, according to BlogMickey. Others could follow as December fills up.
If you’ve got a ticket for Saturday, pack a poncho, download the app and save room in your bag for the ornament. It’s the one party favor you don’t have to wait in line to buy.
