K-Drama Day is Friday, Sept. 25, and streaming service Rakuten Viki is stretching the party into a full week. The celebration runs Sept. 25 through Oct. 1, according to Viki’s announcement.
This is the fourth year Viki has held it.
What is K-Drama Day?
It’s a fan holiday Viki started to celebrate Korean dramas and the people who love them.
Viki is one of the biggest streaming homes for K-dramas outside Korea, and it’s known for fan-made subtitles in dozens of languages. K-Drama Day is its yearly thank-you, with free shows, prizes and exclusive content.
“Fans have always been at the heart of Viki,” CEO Sam Wu said in the announcement.

Yes. Fans voted from Sept. 14 to 21 to pick a K-drama that Viki will feature on billboards in the U.S. and other countries.
