Nickelodeon’s 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards nominations are out, led by Taylor Swift with six. Toy Story 5, Zootopia 2, Lilo & Stitch and Phineas and Ferb are up, and Alex Warren hosts Nov. 14.
Slime season is coming back, and Disney is all over the ballot.
Nickelodeon and CBS announced the nominations for the 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards on Oct. 8, along with this year’s host: singer Alex Warren. The show airs live on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Taylor Swift leads the field with six nominations. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter are close behind with five each.
Carpenter’s nominations include Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Song for “Manchild.” The show will come from Los Angeles.
When are the 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards?
The show airs Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS and Nickelodeon. It’s the first time the Kids’ Choice Awards will air on CBS.
Paramount+ Premium subscribers can stream it live. Premium and Essential subscribers can watch it on demand the next day.
That’s a big shift on the calendar. Last year’s show aired in June 2025, with Tyla as host.
Which Disney movies are nominated at the Kids’ Choice Awards?
Plenty. Here are the Disney-related nominees in the big movie categories:
Favorite Animated Movie: Toy Story 5 and Zootopia 2
Favorite Movie: the live-action Lilo & Stitch and Moana, plus Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Favorite On-Screen Duo/Trio: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack for Toy Story 5, and Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman for Zootopia 2
Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters is also a big player. It’s up for Favorite Animated Movie, its stars Arden Cho and Ahn Hyo-seop got voice nominations, and “Golden” is nominated for Favorite Song from a Movie.
Which Disney shows are nominated?
Disney TV has a strong showing too:
Favorite Cartoon: Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens
Favorite Kids TV Show: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place and Vampirina: Teenage Vampire
Watch Party: Kids’ Choice: Camp Rock 3, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires
Abbott Elementary also picked up a nomination.
The Favorite Cartoon race is a fun one. Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens are up against The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teen Titans Go! and The Bad Guys: The Series.
What are the new Kids’ Choice Awards categories?
There are 36 categories this year, and three are new:
Watch Party: Kids’ Choice
Favorite On-Screen Duo/Trio
Favorite Clutch Player of the Year
The On-Screen Duo/Trio category has some heavy hitters. Besides the Disney picks, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are nominated for Freakier Friday, and Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci are up for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
How do you vote for the Kids’ Choice Awards?
Voting opened Oct. 8 at kidschoiceawards.com. Nickelodeon hasn’t announced when voting closes, so vote early if you have a favorite.
The Kids’ Choice Awards are decided by fan votes, which is why the winners can surprise people who follow other awards shows.
Who is Alex Warren?
Warren is a Grammy-nominated singer who blew up on social media before his music career took off. CBS and Nickelodeon called him a “multiplatinum” artist when they announced him as host.
He’ll be the one dodging the green slime this year. Or, more likely, getting covered in it. Slime is the show’s signature, and getting slimed is practically part of the host’s job.
