The voice of Jinu leads a 12-episode K-drama set inside a cooking survival show. It premieres Saturday, Oct. 24, and U.S. fans can stream it on Prime Video.
Jinu is trading the Saja Boys for a chef’s coat.
Ahn Hyo-seop, the speaking voice of Jinu in Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, stars in Final Table, a new K-drama about chefs battling it out on a TV cooking competition. It premieres Saturday, Oct. 24.
In Korea, it airs on JTBC at 10:40 p.m. local time. That’s 9:40 a.m. Eastern on Saturday morning. Internationally, including in the U.S., Final Table streams on Prime Video, Parade reported. The series runs 12 episodes.
Korean outlets have also reported a Disney+ deal for the show, but for U.S. viewers, Prime Video is the place to watch. Prime Video’s official teaser is up now on YouTube, with English subtitles.
What is Final Table about?
Korean chefs from around the world compete on a survival cooking show called The Table: K-Chef 2026, which is out to crown the best Korean chef. Each round has a different theme.
The prize is big. The winner gets cash and the chance to open a restaurant backed by Pyungyeon Group, which is Korea’s biggest food service company in the show’s world.
Ahn plays Kang Han, a reclusive chef who spent most of his career in restaurants overseas and goes by “Chris K.” An unexpected twist puts him in charge of a struggling restaurant called Familia, and he joins the competition as its head chef.
He also has a score to settle with another contestant.
Who is in the Final Table cast?
Here are the main players:
Ahn Hyo-seop as Kang Han, the mysterious head chef of Familia
Hong Hwa-yeon as Choi Song-yi, Familia’s hall manager, who’s fighting to keep her late father’s restaurant open
Chang Ryul as Cha Woo-jin, the star chef at top restaurant Exception and Kang Han’s old rival from an international competition
Jung Eugene as Sun Jung-won, the executive producer of the cooking show
Jang Young-nam as Moon Hae-sun, the cold chairwoman of Pyungyeon Group
Cha Ji-yeon as Baek Hyun-joo, Moon’s half-sister, who wants her job
Kim Do-hoon directs.
The competition side has fun characters, too. There’s a chef from a Chinese restaurant who’s in it for the money and fame, and a master of traditional Korean cooking who wants to become the top expert in royal court cuisine.
Who is Ahn Hyo-seop?
He’s one of the biggest names in K-drama, and KPop Demon Hunters made him famous with a whole new audience. Ahn voiced Jinu, the leader of the demon boy band the Saja Boys, in the 2025 Netflix hit.
Before that, K-drama fans knew him from Business Proposal, the 2022 office rom-com that became a global streaming favorite. He also starred in Lovers of the Red Sky and the Dr. Romantic series, and he headlined the 2025 movie Omniscient Reader.
With KPop Demon Hunters still huge, expect a lot of Jinu fans checking out Final Table.
When is KPop Demon Hunters 2 coming out?
Netflix hasn’t set a date. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has said the sequel will hit theaters before it streams on Netflix.
Until then, Final Table is the easiest way to get more Ahn Hyo-seop on your screen.
Why are cooking dramas so popular right now?
Korean food has had a huge few years. Netflix’s Korean cooking competition Culinary Class Wars became a global hit in 2024, and K-food fandom has only grown from there.
Final Table takes that reality show energy and adds drama: corporate power plays, old rivalries and a restaurant that might not survive. If you liked watching real chefs sweat it out, this is the scripted version.
Just don’t watch it hungry.
