Snack scout Snackolator spotted a limited-time bag of Lemon Pepper Doritos at the NACS Show and says it looks likely for January. Publix already has a placeholder listing.
A new Doritos flavor may be on the way, and it sounds like something you’d order with a side of wings.
Lemon Pepper Doritos were spotted at the NACS Show in Las Vegas, snack news account Snackolator posted on X on the night of Oct. 7. The photo shows a bright yellow bag with a “Limited Time” badge.
Snackolator said the chips look “likely for a January release.” Frito-Lay hasn’t announced them yet.
Are Lemon Pepper Doritos real?
The bag in Snackolator’s photo looks real. It has the standard Doritos logo, the words “Lemon Pepper” on the front and a picture of a seasoned chip next to lemon slices.
There’s a second clue. Publix has a product page for “Doritos Tortilla Chips, Lemon Pepper Lto.” It’s a placeholder for now, with no price, size, photo or release date.
“LTO” is common shorthand in the food business for “limited-time offer,” which matches the badge on the bag.
So the chips appear to exist. What’s missing is an official word from Frito-Lay on when and where they’ll show up.
When will Lemon Pepper Doritos come out?
Snackolator’s best guess is January 2027. NACS is a fall trade show, and flavors spotted there often reach shelves a few months later.
Snackolator has a good track record with NACS finds. At last year’s show in Chicago, the account was first to share a look at Doritos Dinamita Spicy Cool Ranch, Parade reported. Those were in stores by February 2026.
The post had more than 1,800 likes by midday Oct. 8, so plenty of people are already waiting.
What is the NACS Show?
NACS is the trade group for convenience stores. Its yearly show is where snack and drink companies pitch new products to the people who stock gas stations and convenience stores.
This year’s show is at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The conference runs Oct. 6 to 9, with the expo floor open Oct. 7 to 9.
Because it’s a trade show, a lot of products show up there months before they hit shelves. That’s why snack hunters camp out at the booths.
Have there been lemon Doritos before?
Not lemon pepper, as far as we can find. Doritos has played with citrus, though. Flamin’ Hot Limon Doritos launched in January 2020, and Dinamita Simply NKD Chile Limon arrived in June 2026.
Lemon pepper would be a different direction: more savory and peppery, less spicy. Think lemon pepper wings in chip form.
What other Doritos flavors came out in 2026?
It’s been a busy year for the brand:
Doritos Protein, in Nacho Cheese and Sweet & Tangy BBQ, hit stores in March
Dinamita Spicy Cool Ranch was in stores by February
Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream flavor landed on Doritos in February as part of a flavor swap
Ultimate Garlic Parm came to the U.S. after launching in Canada in January
What else showed up at NACS this year?
Doritos weren’t the only snacks making news in Las Vegas. Mars previewed its 2027 lineup, including Twix Frosted Cookie and Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll M&M’s. Conagra showed off new Slim Jim flavors, and Utz brought Spicy Pickle Bites made with Grillo’s pickles.
We’ll know more about Lemon Pepper Doritos once Frito-Lay makes it official. Until then, it’s a strong rumor with a photo and a grocery store listing behind it.
