McDonald’s is selling a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries and a drink for $8 starting Monday, Nov. 2, at participating restaurants. Holiday drinks follow on Nov. 3.
The Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal is about to get cheaper. McDonald’s will sell a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries and a drink for $8 starting Monday, Nov. 2, according to a McDonald’s USA press release dated Oct. 27.
The deal runs “for a limited time” at participating restaurants. McDonald’s didn’t give an end date.
WISH-TV and the Detroit Free Press also reported the deal this week.
What comes in the McDonald’s $8 Quarter Pounder meal?
Three things:
A Quarter Pounder with Cheese
Medium fries
A drink
The release doesn’t say what size the drink is. Some coverage says medium, but McDonald’s only says “a drink,” so don’t count on a large.
The Quarter Pounder with Cheese has been on the menu since 1971. It’s a quarter pound of beef, two slices of American cheese, pickles, slivered onions, ketchup and mustard on a sesame seed bun, and it’s been made with fresh beef since 2018.
Is the $8 Quarter Pounder meal a good deal?
It depends on where you live. McDonald’s prices are set by franchisees, so a regular Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal costs different amounts in different towns.
Sporked put the usual price at $11.29, but didn’t say where that number came from. Prices vary a lot, and one Reddit user said their local meal was already $8.99. So your savings could be a few bucks or barely anything.
Fast Food Post called $8 a “suggested price,” which means some restaurants could charge a little more or skip the deal entirely.
Can I get the $8 Quarter Pounder meal on delivery?
No. McDonald’s says the deal isn’t valid for delivery. You’ll need to order at the restaurant, in the drive-thru or through the app for pickup.
Nothing in the release says it’s an app-only deal, so you should be able to order it at the counter too.
What else is new at McDonald’s in November?
Holiday drinks start Tuesday, Nov. 3, per the same release. The lineup includes a Frosted Cranberry Splash with Sprite, a Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer and a Cookie Butter Frappe, Latte and Iced Coffee.
McDonald’s announced the holiday drinks in the same Oct. 27 release, so the Quarter Pounder deal gives people a reason to grab a burger with that cookie butter latte. November is shaping up to be a busy month at the Golden Arches, between the cheaper meal and the seasonal menu.
Has McDonald’s done $8 meal deals before?
Yes. Back in September 2025, McDonald’s brought back Extra Value Meals at about 15% off buying the items separately, and ran an $8 Big Mac meal alongside them as a limited-time deal, People reported at the time.
“From the $5 Meal Deal to McValue and now Extra Value Meals,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said then, pointing to the chain’s push on value.
Fast food prices have climbed for years, and chains have been fighting over who looks cheapest. An $8 Quarter Pounder meal is McDonald’s latest shot in that fight.
How do I order the $8 Quarter Pounder meal?
Start by checking whether your restaurant is in. Since the deal is only at participating locations, the app is the easiest way to see if it shows up at your store once Nov. 2 arrives.
If you order at the counter or the drive-thru, ask for the $8 Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal by name. A regular meal order might ring up at your local menu price instead.
Add-ons like extra cheese or bacon may cost more, so check your total before you pay. And remember, the deal won’t show up in delivery apps at all.
When does the McDonald’s $8 Quarter Pounder deal end?
McDonald’s hasn’t said. “Limited time” at McDonald’s can mean a few weeks or a few months.
If the Quarter Pounder is your go-to order, it’s worth checking your local price in the app once the deal starts Nov. 2. If it’s already close to $8 where you live, at least you’ll know it’s not a trick.
