The first of three new ABC specials sits Michael Strahan down with Tommy Hilfiger, Heidi Klum, Dwyane Wade and the costume designer who dressed Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Michael Strahan already has the suits. Now he has a fashion special to go with them.
Michael Strahan's Iconic Fashion premieres Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. It streams the next day, Nov. 11, on Disney+ and Hulu. ABC announced it Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The guest list is the hook. Strahan talks with Tommy Hilfiger, Heidi Klum, Dwyane Wade and Molly Rogers, the costume designer behind Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly looks in The Devil Wears Prada 2. That movie came from Disney's 20th Century Studios, so this one stays in the family.
Iconic Fashion is the first of three specials. Iconic Television and Iconic Music follow in 2027.
Strahan said he wanted to "go beyond what we already know" about his guests, Athlon Sports reported. He called them "true GOATS who have inspired me both personally and professionally."
Here's a look at Michael Strahan's Iconic Fashion:
What is Michael Strahan's Iconic Fashion about?
It's a behind-the-scenes look at people who shaped how Americans dress. Strahan heads to runways, design studios and other places cameras don't usually go, People reported. Here's who he talks to:
Tommy Hilfiger: The designer who turned his name into a preppy, red, white and blue lifestyle brand. Strahan asks how he came up with "meshing with rock stars, pop stars, hip-hop stars, race teams."
Heidi Klum: The supermodel turned media mogul, per ABC.
Dwyane Wade: The three-time NBA champion, who has spent years treating the arena tunnel like a runway.
Molly Rogers: The costume designer for The Devil Wears Prada 2. She worked with Patricia Field on the original 2006 movie, too.
In a teaser, Strahan asks Rogers if it blows her mind to be part of something "so iconic, especially in the world of fashion." The answer is probably yes. Cerulean is involved.
When do Michael Strahan's Iconic Television and Iconic Music air?
Sometime in 2027. ABC hasn't set dates for either one yet.
Both will follow the same plan as Iconic Fashion. They air on ABC first, then stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
That leaves a pretty big gap between part one and part two of a three-part series. Strahan is a busy man, though. More on that below.
Who is producing Michael Strahan's Iconic specials?
SMAC Productions makes the series for ABC News Studios, according to ABC's press release on The Futon Critic. SMAC Productions is the content arm of SMAC Entertainment, the company Strahan co-founded. Constance Schwartz-Morini is his partner on the series.
SMAC Productions executive producers: Constance Schwartz-Morini, FredAnthony Smith and Anna Chai
ABC News Studios: David Sloan is senior executive producer. Melia Patria and Erin Brady are executive producers.
SMAC and Strahan announced the series together on Instagram. "We're excited to announce our new three-part series," the post said, EssentiallySports reported.
How can I watch Michael Strahan's Iconic Fashion?
On TV: ABC, Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 10 to 11 p.m. ET (9 p.m. Central)
Streaming: Disney+ and Hulu, starting Wednesday, Nov. 11
If you're already watching ABC that night, you're set. Dancing with the Stars' Grammy Night starts at 8 p.m. ET, and Iconic Fashion picks up right after the ballroom wraps.
What else is Michael Strahan doing?
A lot. According to his ABC News bio, Strahan's current gigs include:
Good Morning America: co-anchor since 2016, after joining the show in 2014
Fox NFL Sunday: analyst during football season
The $100,000 Pyramid: host of the ABC primetime game show
Michael Strahan brand: a lifestyle line he launched in 2015 that now covers more than 50 product categories, including sportswear
So yes, the man who has to be on the GMA set before sunrise also found time to interview a supermodel, a fashion legend, an NBA star and a costume designer. The rest of us can barely find matching socks.
This isn't his first ABC special, either. ABC aired the documentary Life Interrupted: Isabella Strahan's Fight Against Cancer, about his daughter, in 2024.
