Tuesday, Nov. 24, priced at $204, is no longer available, WDWMagic reported Monday, Sept. 28. That’s the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.
Opening night, Sunday, Nov. 8, is still on sale.
Why is the Nov. 24 sellout a surprise?
Because opening night usually goes first.
In both 2024 and 2025, opening night was the first date to sell out, per WDWMagic. This year, a Thanksgiving-week date beat it.
The timing is later, too. The first sellout came on Sept. 10 last year and Sept. 3 in 2024, WDWMagic noted. This year it took until Sept. 28, which WDWMagic called “a slower start to sales.”
Why did Nov. 24 sell out first?
It’s Thanksgiving week. Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 26 this year, and lots of families pull their kids out of school for the whole week. That makes the Tuesday before the holiday one of the busiest nights of the fall at Walt Disney World.
Nov. 24 is also the first of three party nights that week (Nov. 24, 25 and 27), and at $204 it’s the cheapest of the three. Nov. 25 is $209 and Nov. 27 is $214, per WDWInfo. Both are still on sale for now.
When is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026?
The party runs on 25 select nights from Nov. 8 through Dec. 22, from 7 p.m. to midnight, per Disney Tourist Blog. Party guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. on their party night.
How much are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets?
Prices run from $189 to $229 per person for ages 10 and up, plus tax, depending on the night, per WDWInfo’s list of 2026 dates. Kids ages 3 to 9 pay $10 less.
The cheapest nights, at $189, are Nov. 9, 12 and 17. The priciest, at $229, are the last four nights in December. Opening night is $199.
Prices climb the closer the party gets to Christmas.
What do you get at the Christmas party?
The party includes holiday entertainment, treats, photo spots, exclusive merchandise and character meet-and-greets, per Disney Tourist Blog. Rides like Space Mountain, the Mad Tea Party and the Jungle Cruise get holiday touches, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is a highlight.
Disney Tourist Blog noted that Walt Disney World hasn’t announced any major new additions for 2026.
Is the Halloween party sold out too?
Yes. Every remaining night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which runs through Oct. 31, is sold out, per WDWMagic’s event listings.
So if Halloween was on your list, the Christmas party is now the only holiday party at Magic Kingdom you can still get into this year.
Should you buy Christmas party tickets now?
If you have your heart set on a specific night, especially around Thanksgiving or in December, probably yes. WDWMagic expects more dates to sell out in the coming weeks, based on the last two seasons.
Tickets are on Walt Disney World’s website and in the My Disney Experience app. Early November weeknights are the cheapest, so they make a good backup if your first choice disappears.
And if you’re going Nov. 24, congratulations. You got in before the snow started falling on Main Street.
