Minnie opened Tokyo Disneyland's Pal-Palooza event series in January 2024, and she'll close it, too, from Jan. 13 to March 31, 2027. The same day, Tokyo DisneySea kicks off the grand finale of its 25th anniversary.
Minnie Mouse started this party. Now she's ending it.
Minnie's Funderland will be the seventh and final event in Tokyo Disneyland's Disney Pal-Palooza series, Oriental Land Co. announced Wednesday, Nov. 4. It runs Jan. 13 to March 31, 2027. OLC owns and runs Tokyo Disney Resort under a license from Disney.
That's a neat bookend. Pal-Palooza kicked off with Minnie's Funderland in January 2024. Then came Donald, Vanellope, Donald again, Minnie again and Vanellope again. Seven events, three stars, and Minnie gets the first and last word.
OLC said back in August that Minnie was coming back in 2027, WDWNT reported. The new part is that Pal-Palooza will take place "for the last time," plus the full lineup.
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, the 25th anniversary Sparkling Jubilee heads into its grand finale the same day, Jan. 13, with a bigger harbor show and a new Duffy and Friends program. The anniversary ends March 31, the same day as Funderland.
Here's a look at the Minnie @Funderland parade from Tokyo Disneyland:
What's at Minnie's Funderland 2027?
Pretty much everything in pink. Here's what OLC and Laughing Place listed:
Minnie @Funderland parade: About 40 minutes with six floats, once a day, with Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy and more. Minnie sometimes steps off her float to greet guests.
Fundernight: Projection mapping on Cinderella Castle with Minnie's bows and hearts, plus heart-shaped stained glass-style lamp posts.
Decor: A flower bed inspired by a vanity from Minnie's house, a crystal Minnie sculpture and a giant bow in World Bazaar.
Merch: From Jan. 12, including headbands, sweatshirts and a new Dreamy Funder-Wand that turns lights into hearts through a heart-shaped window.
Food: Minnie Macarons and Minnie's Bow Breads from Dec. 26, with souvenir items from Jan. 12.
Hotel: Funderland rooms at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Jan. 12 to March 31, plus themed monorail day passes.
OLC didn't list prices for any of it.
What is the Tokyo DisneySea 25th anniversary grand finale?
Sparkling Jubilee started April 15, 2026, and wraps up March 31, 2027. For the last stretch, OLC is adding:
Sparkling Jubilee Celebration finale version: From Jan. 13 in Mediterranean Harbor, about 20 minutes, three times a day. Characters switch to "Jubilee Blue" outfits, and Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Aladdin, Jasmine, Peter Pan and Wendy arrive on a decorated barge.
Duffy and Friends' Heart-Bound Ribbons: Jan. 14 to March 31, built around ribbon motifs for the seven Duffy and Friends characters, with special merch and food souvenirs. WDWNT calls it a show; OLC's release calls it a program.
Tower of Terror: Level 13: Jan. 13 to March 31, a more intense version of the ride. It was one of two options during last winter's Tower of Terror "Unlimited" run, TDR Explorer reported.
Finale merch arrives Jan. 12, with special menus from Dec. 26.
Is Minnie's Funderland really the last Pal-Palooza?
That's what OLC says. It hasn't said what comes next.
Tokyo Disneyland won't be bored, though. Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, the Wreck-It Ralph ride we wrote about Oct. 27, opens April 15, 2027, about two weeks after Funderland ends. The lead-up starts during Minnie's run:
Jan. 12: A smartphone mini-game and a collectible sticker
Feb. 18: Sugar Rush decorations in Tomorrowland
March 18: A Sugar Rush projection show on Cinderella Castle
In hindsight, two Vanellope Pal-Palooza events right before a Vanellope ride looks a lot like a very long trailer.
How much are Tokyo Disney tickets for students in 2027?
OLC's student-only Campus Day Passport went on sale Nov. 4 for visits Jan. 4 to March 19, 2027. It's 1,000 yen off an adult ticket, about $6, and 800 yen off a junior ticket, about $5. That's at roughly 158 yen to the dollar.
Middle school, high school, college, grad school and technical school students qualify, and you may need a student ID. The discount varies by date, so check Tokyo Disney Resort's site.
For context, regular one-day adult tickets ran 8,900 to 12,400 yen, about $56 to $78, when we checked in September.
What closes at Tokyo Disneyland in early 2027?
Seven rides, as we reported Oct. 25. The big ones: Peter Pan's Flight closes Jan. 6 to Feb. 2, Splash Mountain Jan. 7 to Feb. 4 and Haunted Mansion Jan. 8 to Feb. 4. Jungle Cruise is down for the whole Funderland run, Jan. 6 to March 31.
So if you're planning a Funderland trip, a February or March visit dodges the biggest January closures. Mid-March also gets you the Sugar Rush castle show and the DisneySea finale before everything wraps March 31.
