A new Mountain Dew Baja flavor with guava, strawberry and lime is reportedly coming Jan. 4, 2027, in regular and Zero Sugar. Leaks say it’ll last all year, with a catch for Zero Sugar.
Mountain Dew‘s Baja lineup is reportedly getting a fruity new member in the new year.
A berry guava flavor, reportedly called Baja Berry Sol, is set to launch nationwide on Monday, Jan. 4, 2027, according to leaked product details shared by snack accounts and reported by Sporked.
Mountain Dew hasn’t officially announced the flavor yet, so treat the details as a rumor until it does.
What does Mountain Dew Baja Berry Sol taste like?
Tropical and fruity. The new Baja is expected to blend guava, strawberry and lime, according to Sporked.
Guava brings a sweet tropical taste, and strawberry adds the berry flavor. Lime gives it the bright citrus kick that ties it to the rest of the Baja family.
Is Baja Berry Sol the same as Berry Guava Baja?
It appears to be the same drink. Early leaks, first shared by Mountain Dew fan account TeamSupernovaFB, described it as Berry Guava Baja, Sporked reported.
Snack account Snackolator has since used the name Baja Berry Sol. The final name on the can could still change before launch.
Will Baja Berry Sol come in Zero Sugar?
Yes, but the bottles won’t last long. Both regular and Zero Sugar versions are expected in 12-ounce 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles.
The catch: The Zero Sugar 20-ounce bottles are reportedly only sticking around through the end of March 2027, according to Sporked. The 12-packs are expected to stay on shelves throughout the year.
Zero Sugar fans online were happy to see the new Baja get a sugar-free version, according to Sporked.
How long will Baja Berry Sol be available?
All year, if the leaks are right. Instead of a short summer run, the flavor is reportedly planned for a full 52-week run in 2027.
That would match Baja Cabo Citrus, which relaunched in January 2026 with a promised 52-week run and no artificial dyes, according to Sporked.
Is Baja Berry Sol like Baja Caribbean Splash?
It sounds close. Baja Caribbean Splash is a guava-flavored Baja that first launched in 2023 and isn’t currently sold in the U.S., Sporked reported.
It was set to return as a limited edition in Canada this year, reportedly exclusive to Circle K and Couche-Tard stores. So U.S. fans who missed it may find Baja Berry Sol a welcome stand-in.
What else is coming from Mountain Dew in January?
More Baja. Baja Cabo Citrus will also be available in a 2-liter bottle in January 2027, according to Sporked.
Cabo Citrus mixes orange and lime flavors, so fans will have two fruity Bajas to choose from as the new year starts.
How did Mountain Dew Baja get so popular?
It started at Taco Bell. Baja Blast debuted as a Taco Bell exclusive in 2004 and built a huge fan base over the years.
Twenty years later, in 2024, Mountain Dew made Baja Blast available in stores year-round. Since then, the brand has rolled out a long list of Baja spinoffs, some limited and some permanent.
Where can you find Baja Berry Sol?
At stores nationwide, starting Jan. 4, if the leaked date holds. Big grocery chains, convenience stores and big-box retailers typically carry new Mountain Dew flavors.
If you’re a Zero Sugar fan, grab the 20-ounce bottles early before they disappear at the end of March. After that, the 12-packs should be your best bet.
