Jollibee, Wingstop, Buffalo Wild Wings, McDonald’s and Whataburger have chicken sandwich deals lined up for Monday. Here’s what each one costs and which app you need.
Monday, Nov. 9, is National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, and a handful of chains are treating it like a real holiday.
The deals run from free sandwiches to $2 sandwiches to buy one, get one. Nearly all of them run through a rewards app. Download yours Sunday night, not in the drive-thru line.
Only one chain has the deal posted on its own website so far: Jollibee. The rest come from deal trackers that checked them this week, so double-check your app before you leave the house.
Which chicken sandwich deals are confirmed for Nov. 9?
Jollibee: Buy one Chicken Sandwich, get one free, on Monday, Nov. 9, only. Original or Spicy, online or in the restaurant, for Jollibee Rewards members. Jollibee says new members can sign up that day and still get it.
Wingstop: A free chicken sandwich in your choice of flavor with any purchase, according to Living On The Cheap and The Krazy Coupon Lady. It runs Sunday, Nov. 8, and Monday, Nov. 9, for Club Wingstop members, one per person. Living On The Cheap lists the hours as 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Buffalo Wild Wings: A free Classic or Spicy Chicken Sandwich on Nov. 9, Parade reported Nov. 4. You need to be a BWW Rewards member and spend at least $10 on food before tax. It’s one per order, while supplies last, with no third-party delivery.
McDonald’s: A $2 McCrispy, Classic or Spicy, for MyMcDonald’s Rewards members in the McDonald’s app, according to South Florida on the Cheap and Burger Beast. Burger Beast calls it a reported deal, so check the app’s Deals tab first.
Whataburger: A $2 Whatachick’n Sandwich or Spicy Chicken Sandwich for Whataburger Rewards members ordering in the app or online, per The Krazy Coupon Lady and Burger Beast.
Krystal: A free Original or Spicy Chik with a purchase of $5 or more. Krystal is mostly a Southern chain, so this one depends on where you live.
What about Popeyes, KFC and Chick-fil-A?
The three chains most people picture when they hear “chicken sandwich” haven’t announced anything for 2026 that we could confirm.
Deal trackers list Popeyes and Burger King as “expected” but not confirmed. KFC ran a free sandwich deal in 2025, and Burger Beast says it’s reportedly back, but we couldn’t find a 2026 announcement from KFC itself.
Chick-fil-A has nothing posted for Nov. 9 either. It told Fox News Digital last month that its new Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce goes nationwide on Monday, Nov. 16.
Surprise morning-of deals do happen, and they’ll show up in the app first.
Do you need an app to get these deals?
For almost all of them, yes. A few tips that’ll save you a sad moment at the counter:
Sign up a day early. New accounts can take a while to load offers.
Read the minimums. Buffalo Wild Wings wants $10 in food first.
Skip DoorDash and Uber Eats. Most deals only work in the chain’s own app.
Expect “participating locations.” Franchise stores can opt out.
Why is there a Fried Chicken Sandwich Day anyway?
Nobody seems to know who started it. Burger Beast calls it “a modern creation,” and that’s about as far back as anyone can trace it.
It’s separate from National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3 and National Fried Chicken Day on July 6.
The timing does have a fun bit of history behind it. Popeyes launched its chicken sandwich nationally in August 2019, and it sold out in about two weeks. The chain brought it back on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, which happened to be the one day of the week Chick-fil-A is closed. The “chicken sandwich wars” kicked into high gear, and that crowded field is a big reason these one-day deals exist. Everybody wants you to try theirs first.
When is the best time to grab one on Monday?
Lunch rush will be busy, especially at Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Order ahead in the app for an early lunch or a late snack. Wingstop’s deal starts Sunday, so that’s your head start.
