The Proud Family gets a stop-motion holiday special, Hulu adds a Mormon Wives spinoff, and DWTS hits Grammy Night. Here’s what’s new on Disney+ and Hulu from Nov. 8 to 14.
It’s the second week of November, which means the holiday specials are officially here, whether your Thanksgiving turkey is ready for that or not.
This week brings a stop-motion Christmas special from The Proud Family, a big night for Dancing with the Stars, a new Hulu reality spinoff and an ocean documentary narrated by the voice of Moana. Here’s the day-by-day.
What’s new on Hulu Sunday, Nov. 8, and Monday, Nov. 9?
Heart Eyes (2025) lands on Hulu Sunday. It’s the horror comedy about a masked killer who goes after couples on Valentine’s Day. It’s not the most festive pick for November, but it’s a good one for anybody who’s already tired of jingle bells.
On Monday, Hulu adds Love Hurts (2025), the action comedy starring Ke Huy Quan as a real estate agent whose past catches up with him.
TheWrap’s November list also puts Mother Knows Murder Season 1 and the English dub of Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 on Hulu Monday.
When is Dancing with the Stars Grammy Night?
Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. ET. Dancing with the Stars Season 35 airs live on ABC and streams live on Disney+, then lands on Hulu the next day.
It’s Week 9 and the show’s first Grammy Night, with every routine set to a Grammy-winning song. Seven couples are left after Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa went home on Disney Night, Nov. 2.
Outlets covering the show report the couples will also face off in dance-offs for bonus points this week. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson sit that part out as the top scorers.
Is the VisionQuest finale this week?
It looks that way. VisionQuest, the Marvel series starring Paul Bettany as Vision, has dropped new episodes on Tuesday nights all season.
Nerdist’s episode guide lists Episode 8, “Forever,” as the finale on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 9 p.m. ET, or 6 p.m. Pacific. Some schedules list it for Wednesday, Nov. 11, so check the Disney+ app if it isn’t there right at 9.
What’s new on Hulu Wednesday and Thursday?
Rivals Season 2 Part 2 arrives Wednesday, Nov. 11, with three episodes on Hulu. The British drama, set in the TV business of the 1980s, picks up where Part 1 left off.
Thursday, Nov. 12, brings The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, a Hulu original spinoff of the Utah show about the MomTok crew. This one moves the drama to Southern California.
TheWrap’s list adds a pile of library shows the same day, including Battle of the 80s Supercars With David Hasselhoff, plus new seasons of The First 48 and Road Wars.
What is A Proud Family Wizmas?
This is the big one for families. A Proud Family Wizmas streams Saturday, Nov. 14, on Disney+.
It’s a stop-motion holiday special, which is a fun swing for a show that’s always been hand-drawn. Per Laughing Place, it has six original songs by Kurt Farquhar, the composer behind the show’s music.
Creator Bruce W. Smith directs, with David Brooks as co-director. Ralph Farquhar wrote it, and HouseSpecial, the Portland stop-motion studio, handled the animation.
The voice cast is the one you know: Kyla Pratt as Penny, Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, JoMarie Payton and Cedric the Entertainer. Guest stars include Anderson .Paak, Lil Rel Howery, JB Smoove, Tone Loc and Gabrielle Union.
What is Expedition: Saving Our Seas?
It’s a one-hour National Geographic documentary special about people working to protect the ocean, with stops in all five ocean basins and some deep-sea exploring.
Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana, narrates. It premieres Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. ET on National Geographic and streams Saturday, Nov. 14, on Disney+ and Hulu.
Here’s the official trailer from National Geographic:
What else is coming to Hulu on Friday?
TheWrap’s list puts The Baltimorons (2025) on Hulu Friday, Nov. 13. It’s the Jay Duplass comedy about a man who spends Christmas Eve with his dentist after a dental emergency, so it counts as a holiday movie. Barely.
A movie called Postcards for Christmas is listed the same day.
So that’s the week: a stop-motion Penny Proud, a ballroom full of Grammy hits, a Marvel finale and a reality spinoff. Pick your poison. Or your popcorn.
