Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is serving drinks to go from a separate line, no reservation needed. Here’s how the to-go queue works, the two-drink limit and what you’ll miss.
You can now grab a drink at Oga’s Cantina without sitting down.
Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is offering drinks to go, WDW News Today reported Saturday, Nov. 7. The to-go option is for drinks only, not food.
It’s a big change for one of the hardest-to-get spots in the park.
How do you get to-go drinks at Oga’s Cantina?
Head to the hostess stand and look for the roped-off area on the right. Brown “Oga’s To-Go Queue” banners mark the line, WDWNT reported. A cast member hands out the full menu while you wait.
TouringPlans, which tried a similar to-go line, said you should know your order before you’re escorted inside. You pay and get your drink at the register in “just a minute or two,” then you’re walked back out.
Do you need a reservation for Oga’s to-go?
No. The to-go line doesn’t require a reservation, according to TouringPlans. That’s a big plus, since seated reservations at Oga’s can be tough to book.
Is there a limit on Oga’s to-go drinks?
Yes. Guests can order two drinks per ID, WDWNT reported. You’ll need to be 21 or older with a valid ID for any alcoholic drink.
What drinks can you get to go at Oga’s Cantina?
Any drink on the menu, according to TouringPlans. That includes fan favorites like the Fuzzy Tauntaun, which TouringPlans tried to go.
Snacks aren’t available in the to-go line, just drinks.
Do Oga’s to-go drinks come in souvenir cups?
Not exactly. All to-go drinks come in plastic cups, not the glassware or special mugs used inside, WDWNT reported. If your drink comes with a souvenir mug, the drink is still poured into plastic, and the mug is packed in a box for you to take home.
Is Oga’s Cantina to-go worth it?
It depends on what you want. If you just want a famous Star Wars drink and don’t have a reservation, it’s a fast option. But you miss the cantina’s atmosphere, including its music and decor.
While it is worth visiting inside for a Star Wars fan, others might find it loud and crowded.
At least a one-and-done because it’s really interesting and full of fun objects and Easter eggs.
TouringPlans wasn’t a fan, telling readers to “spend your boozy dollars somewhere else.” It said the quick in-and-out escort “stings a bit.”
How long can you stay at Oga’s Cantina?
Seated guests usually get about 45 minutes, according to TouringPlans. Oga’s is mostly standing room, and that time limit is one reason some guests feel rushed.
What is Oga’s Cantina?
A Star Wars bar set on the planet Batuu inside Galaxy’s Edge. It’s run by Oga Garra, a character in the land’s story, and features droid DJ R-3X spinning tunes.
The cantina opened with Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in 2019. There’s also an Oga’s Cantina at Disneyland in California.
Does Oga’s Cantina serve nonalcoholic drinks?
Yes. Oga’s has nonalcoholic options alongside its cocktails and beer, so younger Star Wars fans can join in too. Check the menu in the to-go line for the full list.
Tips for Oga’s Cantina to-go
Look over the menu while you wait so you’re ready to order at the register. Lines can build in the afternoon, so try earlier in the day, and remember the two-drink limit applies per ID.
What else is in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?
Two big rides, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, plus shops like Savi’s Workshop for building lightsabers and Droid Depot for building droids.
