Disney California Adventure’s Halloween party is gone for the season. There is one night left, it requires a D23 membership, but that membership requirement is free.
Oogie Boogie Bash has sold out of general admission for the rest of the 2026 season at Disney California Adventure.
Halloween night itself went first, back in June.
One night is still on sale, and most people looking for tickets right now do not know it exists, because it never showed up in the general admission inventory at all.
Which Oogie Boogie Bash night is still available?
D23 Night, on Sunday, Sept. 27, starting at 6 p.m. Pacific. Tickets are $169 each.
Only D23 members can buy them. That sounds like a paywall, and here is where it stops being one: D23 has two membership tiers, General and Gold, and both qualify. General membership is free to join.
So the last remaining night of a sold-out Halloween party is behind a signup form rather than a price tag.
Your whole group does not need memberships either. Guests can come along without joining, as long as the member who bought the tickets is there to walk in with them.
Why did Oogie Boogie Bash sell out so early this year?
Demand.
Disney sells a fixed number of tickets per night to keep the event walkable, which is the entire appeal of a hard-ticket party. Once those nights are gone, Disney does not add capacity to existing nights.
The same thing happened on the other coast. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom sold out all 38 of its nights this year, even after Disney started the season a week earlier than last year. Both of Disney’s domestic Halloween parties are now sold-out events rather than walk-up ones, and that is a change from just a few years ago.
What do you actually get at Oogie Boogie Bash?
The party runs after regular park hours at Disney California Adventure, with trick-or-treat trails, the Frightfully Fun Parade, the Villains Grove walkthrough in Redwood Creek, and the Mickey’s Trick and Treat show at the Hyperion.
Character meets are the real draw. The party is the only time of year a long list of Disney villains come out at once, and the lines for them start before the party officially begins, because party ticket holders can enter the park at 3 PM
That early entry is the piece experienced guests plan around. A 6 PM party start with a 3 PM walk-in means three extra hours in the park on a regular ticket-free basis, and the trick-or-treat trails open before the sun goes down.
Is there any other way in if Sept. 27 does not work?
Not through Disney. Once a night sells out, it stays sold out, and resale tickets for hard-ticket Disney events are risky because the tickets are tied to entry scans.
The one thing that occasionally shakes loose is a cancellation, which puts single tickets back into inventory without warning. There is no waitlist and no notification. People who get them are refreshing the page.
For anyone planning 2027 instead, the pattern is worth remembering. Oogie Boogie Bash tickets have gone on sale in the spring for the last several years, with D23 nights and passholder presales landing before general admission, and Halloween night now sells out within days of going live.
Disney has not announced 2027 dates yet.
If the Sept. 27 date works, the D23 signup takes a few minutes and the ticket is the same $169 everybody else was paying for the nights that are already gone.
