Pepsi may be getting a dessert flavor next year, and it’s a sweet one.
Pepsi Strawberry Shortcake is reportedly coming in February 2027, in regular and Zero Sugar, Sporked reported on Oct. 10. It would come in 20-ounce bottles and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans.
PepsiCo hasn’t announced it. Its newsroom had nothing on Strawberry Shortcake as of Oct. 12, and Sporked didn’t say where its info came from. Its headline called the soda “official,” but the story itself calls it a “reported lineup.”

Based on the reported listing, it’s Pepsi made with “natural and artificial strawberry shortcake flavors.”
Sporked reported a couple of other details:
The regular version is expected to be permanent, not a limited run.

Is Coke making a strawberry soda too?
Yes. Coca-Cola Strawberry Float is coming in summer 2027, Coca-Cola announced on Oct. 5. Coca-Cola says it blends Coke with strawberry and creamy vanilla flavors.
So if Pepsi’s February date is right, Pepsi beats Coke to the strawberry-and-cream shelf by several months.
Keurig Dr Pepper has strawberry on deck as well. Its 7UP Miami Vice, due in June 2027, mixes in a strawberry daiquiri flavor.

On paper, they’re close cousins. Going by Coca-Cola’s announcement and Sporked’s report:

Why is everybody making float sodas?
Because they sell, apparently. PepsiCo has leaned hard into “dirty soda” and float flavors in 2026, with Dirty Mountain Dew in April and MUG Root Beer Floats Vanilla Howler in June.
In an Aug. 28 story on PepsiCo’s website, Michael Smith, vice president of marketing for flavored sparkling beverages, said “dirty soda, nostalgic flavors, and float-inspired decadence” were “showing up organically in culture in repeatable ways.”
Strawberry shortcake is having a moment in the snack aisle too. Breyers has a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake frozen dessert this year, and Cove Soda sold a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake prebiotic soda at Target in late summer, Sporked reported. Drumstick Strawberry Shortcake cones are reportedly on the way, too.
