Walker Scobell revealed at New York Comic Con that Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 premieres with two episodes Nov. 20, then two a week, and he shared all eight episode titles.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is picking up the pace for Season 3.
Star Walker Scobell told fans at New York Comic Con on Saturday, Oct. 10, that the new season opens with a two-episode premiere on Friday, Nov. 20. After that, two new episodes drop every week on Disney+ and Hulu, Laughing Place reported from the panel.
Eight episodes, two at a time, is four weeks. If the drops stay on Fridays, the finale lands Dec. 11.
When does Percy Jackson Season 3 come out?
Nov. 20, with episodes 1 and 2. Disney first set that date at San Diego Comic-Con in July, and the new part is the two-a-week pace.
On a Friday schedule, it would go like this:
Nov. 20: episodes 1 and 2
Nov. 27: episodes 3 and 4, the day after Thanksgiving
Dec. 4: episodes 5 and 6
Dec. 11: episodes 7 and 8
Disney hasn’t said which day of the week the later episodes arrive, so treat everything after Nov. 20 as our math until it does.
Here’s the Season 3 teaser Disney released in August.
What are the Percy Jackson Season 3 episode titles?
Scobell read off all eight at the panel:
My Rescue Operation Goes Very Wrong
An Old Dead Friend Comes to Visit
I Learn How to Grow Zombies
We Visit the Junkyard of the Gods
I Have a Dam Problem
I Wrestle Santa’s Evil Twin
I Put on a Few Million Extra Pounds
The Gods Vote How to Kill Us
Book fans know the style. They sound like Percy talking, the same first-person, slightly panicked voice Rick Riordan gave his chapter titles.
And yes, the one with “Santa” in it should land in early December, if the schedule holds. Good timing on that one.
What is Percy Jackson Season 3 about?
Season 3 adapts The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Riordan’s series, first published in 2007.
It’s the first time that book has been put on screen. The two 20th Century Fox movies stopped after Sea of Monsters in 2013, so this is new ground for anyone who only knows the films.
In Disney’s description, Annabeth suddenly disappears, and a Great Prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi hangs over everything. One child of the “Big Three” gods is fated to save Olympus or bring it down, and their own life is on the line either way.
Who’s in the Percy Jackson Season 3 cast?
Scobell is back as Percy, with Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, Charlie Bushnell as Luke and Tamara Smart as Thalia.
The new faces are big ones for book readers. Dafne Keen plays the goddess Artemis, and Saara Chaudry is Zoe Nightshade, the lieutenant of Artemis’ Hunters. Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie play siblings Nico and Bianca di Angelo.
Scobell also screened a never-before-seen scene from the new season for the NYCC crowd, Laughing Place reported.
Where can you watch Percy Jackson Seasons 1 and 2?
Both seasons stream on Disney+ and Hulu. They also landed on Netflix on Oct. 4, as part of a new Disney licensing deal, with Netflix carrying them for about three months.
That gives Netflix-only viewers a few weeks to catch up before Season 3 starts.
If the Friday guess is right, episodes 3 and 4 land the day after Thanksgiving. That’s either perfect timing or very bad news for anyone working a Black Friday shift.
