Poseidon's Trident and Arm Now Complete Rubble At Univeral Orlando
The Islands of Adventure Icon is now down as redevelopment continues
The iconic Poseidon’s Fury Trident is now in ruins, which is ironic given that it was already in “ruins” at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure.
It’s rubble now too.
Recently, the theater housing “The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show” has been completely dismantled.
Universal has been tearing away at the Lost Continent area for months now, but they finally got the trident.
Thanks to @bioreconstruct, we have a look at the carnage.
Not everything is torn down. Mythos Restaurant will remain open until 2027.
What is replacing the Lost Continent?
We don’t yet know what will replace the Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure, though rumors have swirled about Pokémon and Zelda. But Universal has already seemingly confirmed Zelda for Epic Universe with the stained-glass window in the Nintendo Super Store.
Of course, nothing officially.
I have been hearing Pokémon will replace the Lost Continent area, but nothing has been confirmed, and I think it’s very likely. Universal Japan has already added Pokémon to their park, and Nintendo is working with Universal Orlando for Epic Universe. It’s possible!
If that happens, Disney is in trouble. Pokémon is the number one grossing IP brand in the world.
Mickey and Friends are nearly 1/2 of what Pokémon is.
We still don’t know what is coming for sure, but either way, the gigantic Trident of Poseidon has fallen, and many Universal Islands of Adventure fans are likely feeling sad about it.
It was really cool.
