How much does it cost to ride Hollywood Drift at Halloween Horror Nights?
Universal lists it at “starting from $19.95 per person,” so the price can climb on busier nights. Some headlines round it to $20.
You also need a Halloween Horror Nights ticket for the same night, bought separately. Daytime park admission isn’t included either, and the add-on doesn’t get you early event access.
What time can you ride Hollywood Drift during HHN?
The add-on covers the coaster’s event hours, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Universal notes those hours can change.
Here’s the part to know before you buy: it’s one ride. Universal’s terms call it “one-time (per day) access” to Hollywood Drift, and the ticket is good only on the date you pick. So it’s a per-night purchase, not a pass for the season.
Why isn’t Hollywood Drift included with Halloween Horror Nights?
Because the coaster is brand new, and Universal is managing crowds.
Earlier this year, reports said the only way to ride Drift during the event would be with certain day tickets or the pricey R.I.P. tour. Universal’s Express pass for Halloween Horror Nights still lists Drift as not included.
So this $19.95 add-on gives guests a cheaper third option.
When did Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift open?
Sept. 16, 2026, at Universal Studios Hollywood.
It’s a launched coaster from ride maker Intamin, with cars that spin 360 degrees to make it feel like you’re drifting. It hits about 72 mph on roughly 4,100 feet of track, which makes it Universal’s fastest coaster.
It took over the space that held Animal Actors on Location and the Special Effects Stage.
What is Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift like?
Think street racing. The ride launches out of a garage scene and sends cars through a course built to feel like the chases from the movies.
The spinning is the gimmick. Your car rotates as it moves, so you’re often facing sideways or backward at speed. It makes a fast coaster feel even faster, and it’s why some riders come off a little dizzy.
When is Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood?
The event runs select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1, 2026, with 42 nights total. Doors open at 7 p.m. and it runs until 2 a.m., with early access for some tickets starting at 5:30 p.m.
If you’re going for the coaster add-on, remember the window closes at 10 p.m.
Is Hollywood Drift coming to Universal Orlando?
Yes, but not yet. A version of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is under construction at Universal Studios Florida, and it’s expected in 2027.
Crews recently started pulling a test car along the track in Orlando, so it’s moving along. There’s no opening date yet.
Is the Halloween Horror Nights add-on worth it?
That depends on how badly you want the ride.
If you’re going to Halloween Horror Nights anyway and haven’t been on Drift, about $20 for a ride is cheaper than buying a separate day ticket. If you’re going for the houses, remember you’re paying for one lap, and those three hours can disappear fast in maze lines.
One tip: do the coaster early. Lines at Halloween Horror Nights tend to build all night, and the add-on window ends at 10.
