Seventeen members Jeonghan and Joshua will debut as the unit JxJ with the mini album Dreamscape on Oct. 19, 2026. Preorders opened Sept. 23, less than three months after Jeonghan finished his military service.
Seventeen has another unit, and this one is built on two of the group’s vocalists.
Jeonghan and Joshua will debut as JxJ on Monday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. Korea time, with a mini album called Dreamscape. Preorders opened Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. Korea time, which was 10 p.m. Tuesday night on the East Coast.
Pledis Entertainment, Seventeen’s label under Hybe, announced the unit Sept. 22 with a short teaser.
What is JxJ’s Dreamscape about?
Dreams, in two senses.
Per Pledis, the album looks at “two dimensions of dreaming”: the fantasies you have asleep and the goals you chase awake. The idea is that the two keep crossing over until it’s hard to tell which is which.
The first teaser leans into that. Allkpop described it as monochrome, with a lot of nature shots and not much else. No track list yet.
When did Jeonghan finish military service?
In late June.
Jeonghan started his service on Sept. 26, 2024, as a social service agent, and finished in June 2026. The Korea Herald reported he was the first of Seventeen’s 13 members to complete his service.
That makes Dreamscape one of his first big projects since coming back. It lands less than four months after his discharge.
Joshua was born in Los Angeles and is a U.S. citizen. He recently put out solo music, including “Baby Come Home” in Chinese and English versions, per allkpop.
Has Jeonghan been in a Seventeen unit before?
Yes. This is his second.
In June 2024, Jeonghan and Wonwoo debuted as JxW with the single album This Man and the song “Last Night.” It sold more than 530,000 copies on its first day and about 787,000 in its first week.
Three months later, Jeonghan went into service. Wonwoo followed in March 2025.
Seventeen’s first unit was BSS, with Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi. The group also splits itself into vocal, hip-hop and performance teams on most albums.
Why is Seventeen doing units right now?
Because the full group can’t be all together yet.
According to the Korea Herald’s June report, Wonwoo was still serving, Hoshi and Woozi were on active duty, and Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino were expected to enlist in the months after that. Seventeen isn’t going to be at full strength for a while.
Units keep new music coming in the meantime. JxJ puts together one member who just finished service and one who doesn’t have to serve.
How can fans get Dreamscape?
Preorders are open now through the usual retailers. Pledis has also posted a schedule teaser to start the countdown, per allkpop, so expect concept photos and track details to roll out over the next few weeks. Dreamscape drops Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. Korea time, which is 5 a.m. Oct. 19 in New York.
Who are the members of Seventeen?
Thirteen of them, which is why units make so much sense for this group.
The lineup is S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. They debuted under Pledis in May 2015 with “Adore U.”
Thirteen people is a lot to schedule even without military service in the mix. Pairs and trios are how the group keeps releasing music while members come and go.
Set an alarm for Oct. 19, or don’t. The songs will still be there after breakfast.
