Guests 65 and older can now sign up for free, unlimited visits to their home Six Flags park through the end of the 2026 season. It's admission only, not a season pass, and Knott's Berry Farm is left out.
Seniors can visit Six Flags Magic Mountain for free for the rest of the year. Six Flags announced Wednesday, Nov. 4, that guests 65 and older can get free unlimited admission to their home park through the end of the 2026 operating season.
The timing is no accident. Magic Mountain's Holiday in the Park starts Nov. 26 with seven new live shows. Six Flags entertainment director Kelly Daugherty said the season is about "creating even more ways for families across generations to enjoy Six Flags together."
One fix to the headlines going around: this is not a season pass. Six Flags' release says the offer excludes "season pass-related benefits." You get through the gate, and that's it. Parking isn't included either, Attractions Magazine reported.
It also doesn't work at every park Six Flags owns. Knott's Berry Farm is excluded, which stings a little in Southern California, since Knott's joined the Six Flags family in the 2024 merger with Cedar Fair.
Who qualifies for free Six Flags senior admission?
Anyone 65 or older. It's good only at your home park, the one where you sign up and activate it.
Attractions Magazine reported that Six Flags Over Georgia counts anyone born on or before Dec. 31, 1961. That suggests people turning 65 before New Year's can sign up there now. Check your own park's ticket page for its exact rule.
Canada's Wonderland is fashionably late. Its senior tickets go live Nov. 10.
How do seniors sign up for free Six Flags admission?
It takes a few clicks and one trip to the gate, Attractions Magazine reported:
Find it: Go to your home park's website and look for "2026 Senior Admission" on the ticket page.
Check out: Add it to your cart and finish the order online. The limit is two senior admissions per order.
Activate it: Visit the park before its 2026 season ends.
Bring ID: You'll need a valid photo ID that shows your date of birth.
When does the Six Flags senior deal end?
At the end of each park's 2026 operating season. Six Flags didn't list end dates park by park, and it says details can vary.
Here's the catch at Magic Mountain. Holiday in the Park runs on select dates through Jan. 3, 2027. Six Flags hasn't said whether those first days of January count as part of the 2026 season, so ask before you plan a New Year's trip around it.
What's new at Magic Mountain's Holiday in the Park?
Seven new shows, MUSE TV reported:
Cool Yule Christmas: singers and dancers on Full Throttle Stage
Tinker's Toy Factory: an elf-filled Santa's workshop show
No Biz Like Snow Biz: a Looney Tunes holiday musical
TWAS: A Merry Mishap: an interactive story in Metropolis Park
Storytime with Mrs. Claus: with a North Pole craft spot and post office
The Yule Logs and The Mistletones: two musical acts
Each event night opens with a tree lighting at Full Throttle Stage. There's also Santa, cookie decorating, s'mores and light shows at The Wishing Ridge.
Dasher's Diner handles dinner, with pozole, pumpkin pie and an eggnog cheesecake funnel cake. That's three desserts in one trench coat, and we respect it.
Which Six Flags parks have holiday events in 2026?
Eleven parks in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, on select dates:
Holiday in the Park: Great Adventure, Over Georgia, Magic Mountain, Fiesta Texas and Over Texas
WinterFest: Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, Discovery Kingdom and Kings Island
Knott's Merry Farm: Knott's Berry Farm, with a new ice show, Snoopy's Christmas Follies
Christmas in the Park: Six Flags Mexico
Most start between Nov. 20 and 27 and run into early January. Great Adventure and Over Georgia get reimagined Holiday in the Park events with new themed lands. We covered Great Adventure's version Oct. 22.
The announcement comes about three weeks after a rider died on Six Flags Over Georgia's Goliath coaster on Oct. 12. Six Flags closed nine similar coasters for review, as we reported. Magic Mountain's own Goliath, a different ride, reopened Oct. 15 after a short precautionary closure.
What are the Six Flags Black Friday deals?
They run through Nov. 30 and include a free bring-a-friend ticket with new and renewing season passes and memberships.
At Magic Mountain, MUSE TV reported, the 2027 Silver Season Pass costs the same as a 2027 Good Any Day ticket and also covers the rest of 2026, Holiday in the Park included. Seniors may not need it. Everyone else, do the math.
