Coca-Cola Cherry Lime, first poured at AMC Freestyle machines for the Disney sequel, is listed for store shelves on Feb. 17, 2027, in regular and Zero Sugar. Coca-Cola hasn’t announced it.
Remember the cherry lime Coke you could only get at AMC this spring? It might be coming to the grocery store.
Coca-Cola Cherry Lime and Coca-Cola Cherry Lime Zero Sugar are set to hit shelves on Feb. 17, 2027, per Sporked on Sept. 26. Sporked found them in an industry product database, in 12-ounce 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles.
Coca-Cola hasn’t announced them. A database listing is a strong clue but not a press release, and product plans shift.
Where did the Coca-Cola Cherry Lime flavor come from?
A movie theater soda fountain.
In March, AMC Theatres started pouring an exclusive Coca-Cola Freestyle mix to promote The Devil Wears Prada 2, the 20th Century Studios sequel that opened May 1. The Diet Coke version had the most on-brand name imaginable: “Devilish Lime Cherry Chic.”
AMC also offered it in regular Coca-Cola and Coke Zero Sugar. It ran March 27 through May 6, per Parade, and only at AMC.
Freestyle mixes are usually gone when the movie leaves theaters. This one might be the rare tie-in that outlives its run.
What is a Coca-Cola Freestyle mix?
A custom flavor poured from Coca-Cola’s touchscreen fountain machines.
Freestyle machines, which Coca-Cola introduced in 2009, hold cartridges of flavor shots and can mix well over 100 drink combinations. Theater chains, fast-food restaurants and theme parks use them, including Universal Orlando’s refillable cup stations.
Coca-Cola and its partners use Freestyle to test flavors cheaply. A mix can go live in hundreds of locations overnight with no new cans, labels or trucks. If people keep pressing the button, Coca-Cola has its data.
What will Coca-Cola Cherry Lime be called in stores?
Just Cherry Lime. The shelf version doesn’t carry the movie name, per the listing.
That’s a big change from the AMC version, where the whole point was the pun. “Devilish Lime Cherry Chic” was a Diet Coke joke about Miranda Priestly. “Coca-Cola Cherry Lime” is a flavor you can put on a grocery list.
Is this the same as the Coca-Cola Strawberry Float?
No, that’s a separate rumored 2027 flavor. PNP reported on Sept. 26 that a Coca-Cola Strawberry Float was reportedly coming next year, also from a product listing.
If both hold up, Coca-Cola’s 2027 lineup has a theme: take something people liked in a limited run and put it in a 12-pack.
When will Coca-Cola Cherry Lime be in stores?
The listing says Feb. 17, 2027. That’s almost five months out, so there’s plenty of room for it to move, shrink to a regional test or get renamed.
Coca-Cola hasn’t said anything yet. Until it does, this stays in rumor territory, with a date attached.
What was The Devil Wears Prada 2 about?
The sequel brought back Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, along with Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, 20 years after the 2006 original. Disney owns it through 20th Century Studios.
It’s streaming on Disney+ and Hulu now, per ABC7.
And if the soda really does make it to stores, you’ll be able to drink the tie-in at home while you watch. Which is more than you could say in May, when the only way to get it came with a movie ticket.
