The Devil Wears Prada props are on the D23 show floor

Disney’s chief marketing officer confirmed costume and prop displays from The Devil Wears Prada, Hannah Montana, and Percy Jackson. The Lucasfilm pavilion is screening a LEGO Star Wars title early.
The Devil Wears Prada is not the first thing anyone expects to run into at a Disney fan convention.
It’s on the floor anyway. Asad Ayaz, chief marketing and brand officer for The Walt Disney Company, confirmed to ABC News that props from the film are among the displays at D23 this weekend, alongside pieces from Hannah Montana and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Ayaz said the floor is scattered with Easter eggs and behind-the-scenes material, including costumes.
What’s on display at the D23 show floor
More than the marquee pavilions.
The prop and costume displays run across the convention center rather than sitting in one exhibit. That’s a different approach from Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated, the new Archives exhibition, which gathers its material in one place.
Ayaz’s framing is that a walk across the floor turns up pieces from upcoming films and projects, not just finished ones.
The Lucasfilm pavilion is screening LEGO Star Wars early
Props, costumes, and a movie.
The Lucasfilm Pavilion carries displays from across the Star Wars galaxy along with fireside chats with filmmaking teams. It’s also hosting an advance screening of LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
An early screening at a fan convention is a fairly rare thing for Disney to hand out on a show floor rather than at a Honda Center presentation.
Where the rest of the show floor material sits
Spread across the largest floor in D23 history.
The Disney+ and Hulu pavilion in Hall A runs a 4D theater with photo installations tied to Percy Jackson, Marvel Television’s VisionQuest, FX’s American Horror Story, Camp Rock 3, and Only Murders in the Building.
A Marvel Studios TVA Experience walkthrough drops guests into the Time Variance Authority. Mundo Pixar builds life-size sets from Pixar films for the studio’s 40th anniversary.
Frozen displays featuring Anna and Elsa are up in the main hall, tied to Frozen 3.
Why the prop displays are worth a lap
They’re the part nobody schedules.
Panels get planned around. Showcases get lined up for. Costume and prop displays are the thing you walk past on the way to something else, which means the Hannah Montana material is probably less crowded than anything with a stage attached to it.
Disney has not published a complete list of what’s out there. That appears to be the point.
