Tillamook’s seasonal coffee flavor just got a perfect score from Sporked, and Sugar Cookie is back alongside it. Both come in 1.5-quart cartons at stores nationwide for a limited time.
Tillamook’s fall freezer lineup is back, and one of the two flavors just got a perfect score.
The Oregon creamery has brought back Espresso Chip and Sugar Cookie ice cream in 1.5-quart cartons at grocery stores nationwide, per Parade on Sept. 22. Both are seasonal, which means they won’t stick around.
Sporked’s Rachel Jones gave Espresso Chip 10 out of 10 on Sept. 24. “It is luscious in a way that competes with even the most expensive, highest-brow ice creams,” she wrote.
What’s in Tillamook Espresso Chip ice cream?
Coffee ice cream with a crunch.
Tillamook makes it with “rich espresso ice cream and chocolate espresso beans that add an extra crunch,” per the company. The chocolate-covered espresso beans mean every bite has a little caffeine hit in it.
Sporked tied its return to National Coffee Day, which was Sept. 29.
Fans have been asking for it to stick around. “Please make this a permanent flavor. This was so good!!!” one fan wrote, per Parade. Another called it “the best coffee flavored ice cream on the market.”
What’s in Tillamook Sugar Cookie ice cream?
A holiday cookie in a carton.
Per Parade, Sugar Cookie starts with a creamy cookie dough ice cream base and mixes in sugar pieces and cookie dough bites. Parade called it “a cozy holiday favorite,” and it’s back in time for cookie season.
“This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had,” one fan wrote, per Parade. Another: “I just discovered this flavor & i never want it to go away.”
How much does Tillamook ice cream cost?
Under $10 for a 1.5-quart carton, per Sporked’s Espresso Chip review. Prices vary by store.
Tillamook’s cartons hold 48 ounces, or three pints’ worth.
Where can you buy Tillamook Espresso Chip and Sugar Cookie?
At grocery stores nationwide, per Parade. Tillamook’s online product finder at tillamook.com shows which stores near you carry each flavor.
Tillamook sells through big chains like Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway and Publix, per Dairy Foods’ coverage of its earlier seasonal launches. Not every store gets every seasonal flavor, so the finder is worth a check before you drive over.
Who makes Tillamook ice cream?
A farmer-owned co-op from the Oregon coast.
The Tillamook County Creamery Association dates to 1909 and is still owned by dairy farming families in Tillamook County, Oregon. It’s best known for cheddar, but its ice cream has been a grocery staple on the West Coast for decades and has spread nationwide since.
The creamery in Tillamook is also a tourist stop, with a visitor center where you can watch cheese being made and grab a scoop on the way out.
When do Tillamook seasonal flavors go away?
Tillamook hasn’t posted an end date. Seasonal flavors usually run a few months and disappear once stores sell through. Last year’s summer pair, Salty Caramel Pretzel and Apple Crisp, was billed as a summer-only run, per Dairy Foods.
Some do earn a permanent spot. In 2025, Tillamook moved Orange and Cream and Campfire Peanut Butter Cup from limited-edition to the core lineup, per Dairy Foods. So the fans begging for Espresso Chip to stay aren’t asking for something impossible.
Until then, it’s a fall thing. Coffee ice cream for the pumpkin spice holdouts.
