The Whatever! Makes You Happy line tops out with a $75 Toothless House Backpack, and the brand behind it was started by two former Loungefly executives.
Toothless just got a whole new closet. A How to Train Your Dragon collection from accessory brand Whatever! Makes You Happy launched Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, Laughing Place reported. Prices run from $15 to $75.
In Orlando, look for it at Isle of Berk in Epic Universe. It's also on shopUniversal.com, where all nine pieces were listed as new on launch night.
The top of the line is the $75 Toothless House Backpack. The cheapest way in is a $15 blind box phone buddy, which is also the most dangerous way in. Nobody buys just one blind box.
Laughing Place said the items are Universal exclusives. GameRant got the first look on Oct. 26 and called one Toothless bag "massive," so plan your park bag accordingly.
Here's a look at the new How to Train Your Dragon holiday merch at Epic Universe:
How much is the new How to Train Your Dragon merch?
Here's the full lineup with prices, per Laughing Place and shopUniversal:
Toothless House Backpack: $75
Isle of Berk Purse: $65. It's a two-sided "day to night" tote with a removable Toothless charm.
Toothless Tote Bag: $65
Gronckle Mini Bag: $35
Light Fury Mini Bag: $35
Mystery Box Bag Charm with Pin: $30. You get a dragon house coin bag and a matching pin.
Toothless XL Bag Charm: $20
Mystery Box Bag Charms: $18 for one random dragon charm.
Mystery Box Phone Buddies: $15 for one random dragon phone buddy.
The line also has an exclamation point charm with Toothless and the Light Fury, a nod to the "!" in the brand's name. GameRant reported the collection includes the Zippleback, too.
Who makes Whatever! Makes You Happy?
A married couple, Derrick Baca and Liz DeSilva. Both were senior vice presidents at Loungefly before starting their own company, Den of Geek reported in August. If the bags look like they'd sit nicely next to a Loungefly mini backpack, that's not a coincidence.
The brand's licenses include Peanuts, Care Bears, Miffy, Strawberry Shortcake, Universal Monsters and Terrifier. The founders told Den of Geek they don't work with Disney. So don't hold your breath for a Stitch version.
Universal already sells a Universal Monsters line from the brand on shopUniversal with the same price ladder: a $75 backpack, a $65 tote and $35 mini bags. Toothless is just the next monster in line.
Where can you buy the How to Train Your Dragon Whatever! bags?
Universal Epic Universe: at Isle of Berk, the How to Train Your Dragon land.
Universal Studios Hollywood: Laughing Place didn't name the shop, so ask a team member.
Online: shopUniversal.com. Laughing Place noted a few items still said "Coming Soon" when it published, so check back if something's missing.
What other Toothless merch is at Universal for the holidays?
Plenty. Isle of Berk is celebrating Snoggletog, the Viking holiday from the franchise, with a holiday overlay, seasonal food and drinks, and its own merch.
That collection includes the first-ever light-up Toothless Loungefly mini backpack, which Parade spotted on shopUniversal for $95. Toothless wears a Santa hat and holiday lights. There's also a matching light-up headband, a holiday Toothless Squishmallow and a quarter-zip fleece Spirit Jersey.
Laughing Place reported that Universal's holiday merchandise starts arriving Nov. 14 at Universal Orlando, Nov. 20 at Universal Kids Resort and Nov. 21 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
So yes, the new bags from Loungefly's alumni will share shelf space with an actual Loungefly. Awkward family reunion, or good business? Your wallet decides.
If you just want a plush, the parks-exclusive Night Fury and Light Fury Squishmallows, $30 each, have been around since August.
What's next for How to Train Your Dragon?
More dragons. Universal's live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2 flies into theaters June 11, 2027. Dean DeBlois is back to write and direct, with Mason Thames as Hiccup, Nico Parker as Astrid and Gerard Butler as Stoick. Cate Blanchett joins as Valka, the role she voiced in the animated films.
Expect the merch shelves at Isle of Berk to get even more crowded before then.
