Marvel’s “VisionQuest” premieres Oct. 14 and carries the month almost by itself, with new episodes on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.
There is no Star Wars original, no Pixar series and no second Marvel title on the schedule.
What Marvel show is on Disney+ in October?
“VisionQuest,” and it is the headline release of the month.
Paul Bettany returns as Vision, with James Spader back as Ultron. The series follows White Vision after the events of “WandaVision,” carrying the original Vision’s memories without the emotional connection to them.
Showrunner Terry Matalas confirmed this week that no generative AI was used in the production, and that the AI-looking design errors in Vision’s Mindscape were built by hand on purpose.
What is Coven Academy?
A live-action Freeform series premiering Oct. 1 on that channel and streaming Oct. 2 on Disney+ and Hulu, with all episodes at once.
Tim Federle created it, and the cast includes Tiffani Thiessen and Devon Sawa. A companion series, “Locker Diaries: Coven Academy,” follows on Oct. 17.
The show drew an objection from the group One Million Moms earlier this month over its witchcraft themes, which remains the only organized complaint against it.
What Halloween specials are on Disney+?
A few, and they land in the first week.
The Phineas and Ferb Halloween Special arrives Oct. 7, alongside season two of “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.”
“Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+” returns for season two on Oct. 1, and “Pupstruction” gets a third season on Oct. 3.

“Adventure Time: Side Quests” returns for season two on Oct. 2, with all episodes dropping at once across both services.
That is a notable get for Disney+, given the show’s Warner Bros. lineage, and it speaks to how much licensed content now moves between services that compete directly.
Is Toy Story 5 on Disney+ in October?
No, it arrives earlier. “Toy Story 5” starts streaming this Wednesday, Sept. 23, which means the month’s biggest family title lands before October begins.
That timing is probably deliberate. Disney has put its Pixar release ahead of the Halloween slate rather than inside it, which gives each one its own window.
Should you expect more announcements?
Disney typically adds titles to a month after publishing the initial schedule, particularly library content and international acquisitions. The originals list rarely changes.
