Wendy’s third Frosty Frights collection is in Kids’ Meals now, with six new characters and six Halloween variants. A thirteenth figure called Brain Freeze goes to just 2,000 Rewards members during a one-hour drop on October 30.
Wendy’s brought back its Halloween toy line Tuesday, and one of the figures is going to be very hard to get.
Frosty Frights returned for their third year, appearing in Kids’ Meals at participating U.S. restaurants while supplies last. The collection has 12 figures including six new characters plus six Halloween-colored variants.
Then there’s a thirteenth that will not be in any Kids’ Meal.
Brain Freeze goes to 2,000 people
For the first time, Wendy’s is holding back a Frosty Frights figure and routing it entirely through its rewards program.
Brain Freeze will be available only through the Wendy’s Rewards app during a drop running from 3 to 4 p.m. on October 30. Just 2,000 exist.
One hour, one day, two thousand units nationwide.
Wendy’s has not explained the entry process yet, so we will have to wait and see.
Who are the six new characters?
Each Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal includes one collectible, though which figure you get and what any given restaurant has in stock will vary.
Shiver Wing the bat, Sir Choc-O-Lot the ghost knight, E.A.T. the alien, Numb Chuck the ninja, Cold Foot the Yeti, and Taran Chilla the spider.
The six Halloween-colored variants will also be released.
The Boo! Books are back
Running alongside the toys is the promotion Wendy’s is known for—Boo! Books!
Boo! Books cost $1 and are available from August 31 through November 1 at participating U.S. restaurants while supplies last.
Each one contains five coupons for free Jr. Frosty treats and one coupon for a $1.99 Kids’ Meal with another purchase.
And 90 cents of every dollar goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas was adopted as an infant and started the foundation in 1992, which is why the program has run every Halloween for decades.
The Jr. Frosty coupons must be redeemed in person by December 31, 2026. They cannot be combined with other offers or used on mobile orders.
Boo! Books can be bought in restaurants, at the drive-thru, through self-order kiosks, in the Wendy’s app, or online. App delivery works during September and October, but third-party delivery services are excluded.
Sonic is on the way out
One scheduling note for anyone hunting a specific figure.
Wendy’s Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meal promotion was scheduled to run through September 13, which means restaurants are switching over on their own timelines.
Some locations may still be handing out Sonic cards while others have already moved to Frosty Frights. If the first Wendy’s you try does not have them, another one nearby might.
Frosty Frights have built a following since Wendy’s launched the line in 2024. Twelve figures, plus one that two thousand people will own, plus a dollar that mostly goes to adoption services. October 30 is the date to circle.
