Disney’s latest live-action remake, “Moana,” is grabbing headlines across the country for its low preview box office total and Maui’s nipples.

You read that correctly. People are obsessed with Maui’s nipples or the reported lack of nipples.

Many have been asking about them, which has led to a rumor online that Disney doesn’t allow nipples on mammal characters.

But is this the truth? Did Disney spend thousands of dollars on FX work to remove the “offensive” body part?

No.

There are nipples on Tarzan and the characters from “Home on the Range.”

Maui also has nipples, but as Dwayne Johnson pointed out, they are covered with images.

”Here’s the thing, and I’m not gonna reveal all of it, but we know what it’s like to have markings all over our chests, and sometimes, in Maui’s case, his markings are around his areolas.
